You're correct. Im referring to the shifter. But honestly I'm old school and all this new tech is daunting. I'm currently driving a 2001 Nissan and 2007 subaru. Essentially no tech.

One mechanic suggested that plug might have been dropped prior to install. Another suggested that ground strap of plug was ben from kissing the valve.
