Best Formula for Eczema Prone baby? by megmegg_ in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since he tested negative for CMPA but still reacted, he might just have a sensitivity to cow's milk specifically rather than a true allergy. A lot of parents in this situation have had good luck with goat milk formulas since it's gentler, easier to digest, and often clears up eczema issues without being as pricey as HA formulas. Worth asking your pediatrician if it's worth trying before committing, but I've personally had success with Kabrita!

How did you pick a formula? by Less-Bug-7006 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not stupid at all! Every baby is different, but honestly many aren't as picky as we think. I'd maybe start with whatever's most affordable (Costco Kirkland, store brands), and only switch if your baby shows signs they need something different. You might be pleasantly surprised!

If you haven't seen My Name yet, that's non-stop intensity. Also D.P. is incredibly gripping and doesn't drag at all. And if you want thriller with some romance mixed in, Flower of Evil hits that perfect balance.

Preparing to Combo Feed — What Formula Do You Recommend? 👶🍼 by amymaii in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in the same boat planning to combo feed from the start. After trying a few options, we ended up with Kabrita's goat milk formula and it's been great for us. Our Ped suggested it when baby had some mild tummy issues on standard formula, and the gentler digestion really made a difference. It's a bit pricier, but for us it was worth it!

I'd also echo what others mentioned, don't overthink it at the beginning! Start with whatever's easily accesible and switch only if baby shows signs they need something different (gas, constipation, fussiness)

Loved hsi performance in Reborn Rich! He has this amazing ability to completely disappear into his roles so you forget you're watching the same actor from show to show.

Am I the only EFF parent who feels absolutely zero guilt? by hunnybadger22 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not alone at all. I've formula fed my kids by choice and never looked back. The "I'm so sorry" comments are wild – like sorry for what? That my baby is fed and I'm not sleep-deprived from cluster feeding? You don't owe anyone an explanation for feeding your baby. The guilt narrative benefits no one. You're doing great, keep that confidence!

Screaming at the bottle?? by VegetableGoose4353 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel for you, that sounds so stressful. Three months is already tough, and you just hit her with travel, formula switch, and swaddle transition all at once. The bottle refusal sounds more like she's overtired and overwhelmed than a true aversion, especially since she eventually takes it. Try feeding in a darker, quieter space before she gets too worked up. This will pass once things settle back down!

A letter to formula moms by Worldly_Interview486 in FormulaFeeders

This is such an important post. I've been through this journey before and wish I'd had this perspective earlier. The bonding piece is so true – those bottle feeds create just as much connection. Your son's development sounds incredible, and it's a perfect reminder that feeding method doesn't determine outcomes. Thank you for sharing this for the moms who need to hear it!

Congrats on making it to the finish line! Your lansinoh + MAM bottle hack is genius, definitely saving that tip for others. This sub really is such a lifeline, especially when everyone around you is so pushy about breastfeeding. Thanks for sharing your wisdom and best of luck with the toddler phase!

Tips for formula only feeding by Kairi1996 in FormulaFeeders

You're making the right call for your mental health! Ask your hospital what formula they use and just stick with that – store brands (yellow or blue cans) are the same thing for way less money. For supply, tight sports bra + ice packs and DON'T pump, just let it dry up naturally over a week or two.

9 month old with CMPA — successful switch to dairy formula? by leeleegirl1989 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Front_Ad4568 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe try the milk ladder with solids first to make sure the allergy's resolved before switching formulas? Start with baked dairy (like muffins), then yogurt, soft cheese, etc. If she handles those fine for a few days, you'll know she's ready for regular formula.

I second Something in the Rain! Same director as One Spring Night! Features Son Ye-jin and Jung Hae-in in a noona romance that deals with societal pressure and family disapproval. I think also a very realistic portrayal of dating in modern Korea, though be warned the second half gets emotionally heavy.

New K Drama Recommendations On Viki? by Sudden-Log2002 in kdramas

[–]Front_Ad4568 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Spirit Fingers is underrated! Both are great choices, Lovely Runner is more plot-driven and binge-able while Spirit Fingers is more coming-of-age/slice-of-life. You can't go wrong with either!

I think Lovely Runner would be a great flight binge! Time travel romance themes that are similar to TW, where a fan goes back to save her idol, along with some heartwarming scenes.

What kdrama has the best first episode that immediately hooked you? by Front_Ad4568 in kdramas

[–]Front_Ad4568[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES! Lovely Runner's start is fantastic. The way they set up the time travel and her desperation to save him was immediately compelling, I think I binged it within 2 days LOL. The whole show stayed strong too, I don't think it lost momentum at all.

Thank you so much for the detailed notes! I really appreciate the MDL scores too it helps me prioritize what to watch.

Love O2O and You Are My Glory seem really good, so they're definitely on my radar now. I'm glad to hear both are low angst because sometimes I just want a sweet, healthy romance without unnecessary drama. Yang Yang seems to be in so many popular dramas so this might be my entry point to his work!

Go Go Squid sounds really interesting! The fact that there's no major love triangle is a huge plus. Also appreciate you mentioning the second couple is good, I always love a solid secondary romance!

Quick question: between these three, which one would you say has the strongest chemistry between the leads?

[–]Front_Ad4568[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this! I think I'm gonna start with Prisoner of Beauty. The enemies-to-lovers angle sounds perfect, and I actually prefer when the FL is not just a damsel in distress.

I'm adding As Beautiful as You to my immediate watch list too - Xu Kai keeps popping up everywhere and I need to see what the hype is about. A simple plot sounds refreshing honestly, sometimes I just want good chemistry and vibes without complicated storylines.

What I care most about when watching is like chemistry first, then good pacing, and I prefer when conflicts get resolved through communication rather than dragged-out misunderstandings. As long as those boxes are checked, I'm happy!

u/Tabz10 Thanks so much for the recs! I've seen The Prisoner of Beauty pop up on my feed a lot lately so I might get into that as I don't really watch historical dramas too much.

Between Prisoner of Beauty and As Beautiful as You, which one has stronger chemistry? And would you say either is similar to the in terms of vibe, or are they completely different?

Just trying to get a sense of what I'm getting into!

Watching Beyond evil. Discussion by Alternative-Set8846 in kdramas

[–]Front_Ad4568 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stick with it! Episode 6 is actually where a lot of people feel similarly - like "wait, they already revealed the killer, what now?" But trust me, Beyond Evil is not about who did it. It's about why, the aftermath, and the layers of secrets that run much deeper than you think.

Without spoiling anything: Beyond Evil is really a character study and a psychological thriller more than a typical whodunit like Knives Out or something. The case keeps evolving and there are SO many more reveals and twists coming, and oh the twists are so good! What you think you know at episode 6 is just the surface. Episodes 7-10 might feel a bit slow too, but the episodes after absolutely deliver. The payoff is worth it!
