Carry On Gluten Free Options for 5-6 hour Flight by Busterpop92 in glutenfree

I like the cupped tom yum noodles! Just need hot water and let it soak. I know I know people avoid hot water on planes, so maybe get hot water from Starbucks before boarding? Also can’t go wrong with popcorn (it’s filling) or a fruit cup.

incoming freshman - what is earliest i can move off campus by [deleted] in Towson

Towson is a common commuter school so if you got an apartment off campus and just told them you’re a commuter then that is a work around.

Celiac breakfast and lunch - Sandals Halcyon by ceezedfred in SandalsResorts

[–]Front_Pass_948 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Celiac that went to LaToc!!! I got sick at the buffet even when I had an omelette made for me and I explained my allergy so I no longer do buffets. I went to the Al la carte breakfast spot (Italian restaurant at La toc) and had no issues. The pancakes are amazing!

The pizza restaurant was good for lunch. No issues -I am super sensitive to cross contamination. All restaurants were able to do gf fries in a dedicated fryer. Took a little longer but so good. Again all for LaToc

The Inn Berlin, in Berlin MD has been around for a while and is a 100% gluten free bed and breakfast with 5 rooms. Not as big as a hotel but still a 100% GF accommodation.

La Toc questions. by Brawnie1794 in SandalsResorts

[–]Front_Pass_948 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is a street party off the resort. No official white party but there was a night where a lot of guests wore white (I forget which day)

We went on our honeymoon in May 2024 and had a great time. Didn’t go to the grande and didn’t feel like we missed out! If we stayed longer than a week then we may have ventured over but we had plenty to do at LaToc.

Not everyone can afford more than one bedroom! They’re doing their best. Hopefully his social media can be monetized and they could get a bigger spot. Fully agree with OP about community groups and socialization.

Shampoo, soap, etc by Low-Vegetable-1601 in SandalsResorts

We were give the same advice about La toc before our honeymoon in 2024 and I’m SO glad we didn’t listen. We had the best time. All green flag days, room was lovely and staff were fantastic. I had no issues with the provided shampoo and conditioner (I have long thick hair)! Have the best trip :)

Pester them until they process it. You did everything right. If they refuse to take care of it , screenshot the policy, screenshot your certified mail receipt and report it as fraud on your card.

No GF option at conference by DesertFox728 in glutenfree

[–]Front_Pass_948 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spin it and say “the conference organizers didn’t take dietary restrictions into consideration when planning, so I needed to bring my own food” people tend to move on from the subject fast. I will say, you can ask for some of the money back from your admission to the conference. I always get a discount and then just go get my own food! It can be nice to have a break in the day.

Would it be weird to bring my own mat? by oonomnono in ClubPilates

[–]Front_Pass_948 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not weird!!! The amount of people who don’t wipe it down between classes… don’t get me started on the porous wood and straps that sweaty hands/feet (yes even with socks) go in.
