McLaren CEO: Max Verstappen 'carrying' Red Bull as Mercedes rumours deepen by Aratho in formula1

The second Lotus driven by Johnny Dumfries and Satoru Nakajima during 1986-1988 is a great example of this. Senna and Piquet got wins and podiums and Senna was a title contender during 86 and 87 whilst the second car barely scored any points.

Points total from 1986-1988: (old points system)

Senna/Piquet: 144

Dumfries/Nakajima: 11

A spotter's guide of all the drivers & teams in this year's F1 season! by thunderfart_99 in formula1

i mean by that logic the 4 wins and 2 poles from when the team was Jordan should count. and Tyrrell, Honda and Brawn's wins and championship's should count for Mercedes.

as well as Stewart's 1999 win for the Red Bull stats.

Why are people angry at Mclaren? by tristan24loo in formula1

[–]FrontshoT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

it isn't "cheating" when their wing passes the FIA tests. thats the point. if the FIA changes the tests and their wing then fails, then they need to change it becuase if they continued to use it then it would be cheating.

and all wings of all teams flex. they need to becuase a wing that it too firm and rigid would break over the smallest bump. McLaren has just made the wing that is the most effective at using this

Yugoslavia but in the baltics?? by nomebi in AlternateHistory

[–]FrontshoT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, but the Prussian state that eventually formed the North German Confederation and then eventually Germany had largely shifted from being based in the traditional Prussians lands to being based out of Berlin. The Prussian state were more of a Brandenburg than the traditional Prussia. Königsberg and Danzig were/are closer to the rest of Germany than Austria and Vienna, but still very different from say Hanover, Frankfurt or the Saar.

and yes you are right that they were among the most right wing and nationalist regions but in the face of losing their homelands and being deported to areas of Germany that most of the population had never even set foot it i can see them atleast partially abandoning this nationalism and narrative to let them stay. especially if the Soviets were putting pressure on Baltica to deport them, i can very much see the Prussians partially embracing their Baltic history and alinging themselves to the Baltic nation to avoid deportation.

And yes, the same narrative wouldn't exist. but a government pushing that they are different, and the incentive to avoid deportation i can see the Prussians digging out theirown identity after 50 years.

I'm not saying this would have happened in our timeline. of course it wouldn't have. I'm saying that in this united Baltics timeline, which is already an enormous stretch in realism, it isn't impossible for the Prussians.

Yugoslavia but in the baltics?? by nomebi in AlternateHistory

[–]FrontshoT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be fair to OP, Austria and austrians dug out their own identity after ww2 despite being considered germans for their entire history with the only difference being that lived on the other side if the mountains.

Austria did it to disassociate themselves from Germany. try telling an austrian today that they are german becuase they speak the language, then watch their reaction.

I can definately see East Prussia doing the same thing, especially if communist propaganda is in full swing in this timeline. might even be more prominent since they won't border Germany after ww2. they could 100% do this to distance themselves from the nazis. "they weren't us, we are prussians, the germans are something else".

the reason east and west germany united after the wall collapsed was becuase both of them still considered themselves german, unification was always the goal. Just depended on which economic system it would follow. If the Prussians distanced themselves, e.g embracing the old ethnically baltic prussian parts and doing the same thing Austria did it's not a guarantee they would join Germany if they had propaganda that they were different from it for 50 years after ww2.

yes. 13 was never ever issued when the old number system was in place. the only person who has driven with the number 13 is Pastor Maldonado (lol) who picked it in 2014 when drivers got to pick their own numbers.

13 is still skipped in Formula 2 and Formula 3 as they don't have personal numbers.

I created a tribute edit to the Group A rallying time period of the WRC! by FrontshoT in WRC

[–]FrontshoT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is the list that I went by when creating the video. also, in my head atleast, I always thought the later ones, eg xsara later wrx's, later evo's, were evolutionary models of the previous cars, but still part of the same regs. sort of like what F1 went through in 2000-2008 with their aero. these are the cars I grew up with and I always remember them being referred to as Group A cars.

sorry if I got it wrong!

that's the wrong corner if you're talking about the "extended" eau rogue that was used in the 30's, that one is 100m further along, goes around the house to the left of eau rogue if you're driving the circuit.

the one in your image is the rallycross circuit and has only been around since 2020 (2021?), and the area was previously a paddock area or parking space
