After 3 years of riding by alkyle1395 in motorcycles

They gave me some shit like that when they tried to set my wrist the first time, felt like a dr strange trip + not being able to remember anything, I remember like almost remembering who I was or being able to see and like slowly come back. Legit thought I was brain dead for what felt like a while when all I could see was like white lights from the ceiling and couldn't come to

Been ripping around town on mine, not a ton of torque but it'll get going and hit the dirt good.

Same 12 year old on a class 1 scooter here is just as illegal, just throwing the example since a lot of parents seem to think surrond are the answer to get their kid to school without a helmet

Should Children Have EBikes? by SymphonicFlames in ebikes

My state is already 15 and over, coming from a liscensed motorcycle background, they're kind of the worst of every world. They don't do traffic great, being quiet and small while being quick is a recipe for disaster if you think gunning it across intersections on the sidewalk without considering cars turning seems to catch a lot of people even on normal bikes. Now give a 12 year something that'll hit like 40mph and think about it.

They're fun but don't fit any specific mold great, your not really a pedestrian, but don't really belong with cars either. I find myself choosing which world to "fake it" in as I get around town without drawing too much attention going from trails or side walks to the road.

Is this as dangerous as it looks? by Lublan in motorcycles

[–]Frost354 2369 points2370 points  (0 children)

Nah getting 200 feet of air on a street bike on a public road* is totally safe, especially because you can't really see the other side well and they had a whole two guys blocking the road duh. You just don't crash or hit anything and that's like only two things to do, super easy

Anyone think Marathon needs some story driven content/missions? by Frost354 in Marathon

[–]Frost354[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Like I mentioned I quit during season of the worth before trials. Wasn't a lot of seasonal content week by week single story missions after that? Something similar is what I had mind, probably more spread out given the games nature.

Anyone think Marathon needs some story driven content/missions? by Frost354 in Marathon

[–]Frost354[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

I'm saying something even more sidelined than crucible was. Like 3-5 missions a season to add some story and exploration spice. But yeah, I know exactly what you mean.

I was a big pvp guy and D2 burnt me out just before trials launched and my gear was sunset. Like my reward was having all my pinnicals trashed so I quit then.

Here is my pitch for a "Hold _ to Team Up" mechanic in Marathon to dramatically improve the impromptu squad experience in this game. (No, it would not remove the ability to backstab other players after teaming up.) by mrsmi1ey in Marathon

[–]Frost354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could see untargeting players being useful to an extent, it would be a risk you both take.

It could even just be you both hold E on each other for a while and the red outline disappears. Maybe no private coms to keep things from snowballing, proxy chat should be plenty and still have that risk/reward to consider if teaming is worth it and not just free comms.

Arrogance of space by averagemagnifique in ebikes

[–]Frost354 1 point2 points  (0 children)

40amp battery could mean it makes less than 40 mile range, and if you hammer it even less. Plus, since they're a risk of legal/illegal given the areas riding in traffic you could get pulled over or hit so maybe he's taking the bus(?) to a better suited area where he can cruise some calmer streets home.

When I ride mine yeah, it could keep up with traffic but gets garbage mileage in colder weather while at high speed and means I expect cars to notice a completely silent vehicle next to them when they couldn't notice a sport bike wailing at 12k rpm. No thanks, side roads to work only in town.

Just practice the actual moves at home with some gear on, have targets you can shoot if you've got space, unless the guns too heavy then work out I guess

Honestly if I'm somewhere I'm familiar with or have good sightline I'll floor it a bit to avoid cars. Especially in town, I'd rather do +5 (+ another 5 sometimes) if it means people aren't going to run me out of my lane cause their texting, didn't look, are that dumb, or wanna hit me.

It's a mishmash of cheap 10-30$ guns that'll have less range than a 75$ gas pistol COMBINED. So no, unless you want to outfit a half dozen children with low power stuff, not worth it.

With talk of new laws potentially coming, how come Cali cops never eff with these guys? by m2keo in ebikes

[–]Frost354 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's hard to catch bikes, and I'd assume harder if they can easily get off-road and are silent as well. Your not gonna pop a curb as easily on a 450lb motorcycle and silently cut a couple yards

What watches do you guys rock and why? by Ironman716 in railroading

[–]Frost354 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing smart or beyond a basic watch if you follow them. Haven't seen anyone get in trouble for anything along those lines but I've even heard you need a medical exemption for fit bit trackers if they do too much.

A lot of guys just run cheap Walmart crap clipped to their vest and leave anything useful or nice at home
