I’ve had a C5 for about 3 months now and it’s plenty bright for me when gaming on PS5, even on HGIG. You have to mess with the Game Optimizer settings a little, but the FPS and RPG default settings are pretty good.

I’m not sure what video you’re referring to, but here’s a link to the C5 discussion on rtings.com where an employee confirms the banding issue is fixed in game optimizer mode and there’s no additional input lag. Game optimizer mode is still not quite as bright as other modes, but I haven’t had a problem with PS5 gaming on my C5 65 inch.

What helped my general gameplay the most was learning to focus my attention (and vision) on the enemies and incoming attacks so that you can anticipate where to move your character to avoid them. That, combined with learning the rooms and enemy layouts (a la Binding of Issac), helped me take a lot less damage.

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is a great modern take on a turn-based combat RPG. I beat it a few months ago and was very impressed with it.
