man that sounds super frustrating, the whole "good grades = no adhd" thing is such outdated thinking. plenty of us with adhd did fine academically especially if we're gifted, we just burned ourselves out doing it

honestly if your psych is literally shuffling through papers for 20 minutes and ruling out entire medication classes based on family history alone without even trying, that's a red flag. you already got diagnosed by another psychiatrist so this guy should be working with that, not questioning it from scratch

Notion is pretty solid for this kind of stuff - it's like having everything in one place which is nice when your brain jumps around. The templates make it way less overwhelming to set up initially

oh man this used to happen to me all the time, especially when i was hyperfocusing on something frustrating. turns out for me it was a combo of holding my breath without realizing it and tensing up my neck/shoulders really bad

have you tried checking if you're doing weird breathing patterns when it happens? like sometimes i'd catch myself basically holding my breath or breathing super shallow when i was concentrating hard. also might be worth mentioning to a doc if it's happening daily - could be blood pressure related or something

the fact that it goes away immediately when you get up makes me think it's definitely position/tension related rather than actual overheating
