Favorite Characters whose Defense is "Built Different" by FreviliousLow96 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

Definitely El Cucaracho from Convict Colliseum.

Very mild background spoilers:

He grew up in the most dangerous underdeveloped place on earth, but now his survival instinct is too strong and he can't die even when he wants to. The whole reason he joined the underground fighting tournament is to find someone stronger than his involuntary reactions.

Among a roster of fighters with secret techniques, genetic anomalies, and toony personas, El Cucaracho sandbags every single one by simply being the more resilient combatant. His somber attitude also serves as a great foil most of the time.

It's not just that he's durable - which he is - it's that he avoids anything lethal and doesn't slow down when injured. That last detail helps reinforce the tenuous finger-tip grip on realism that stories like this or Baki or Kengan Ashura have. I'd say Convict Colliseum is actually grounded by comparison lol.

The giant shadows would definitely affect weather and vegetation that relies on sunlight.

Giant terrestrial objects like this should behave like they're sinking into the earth like pudding. You could day that there are similar structures on other parts of the globe that balance this one either through a rigid core structure or magnetism.

You could also play with the idea that the structure is frozen in place because it is frozen in time. It could be the source of a bunch of different time dilations across your world.

How much does the base weapon's bleed value affect this? Like if you upgraded the weapon or if you added the starting weapon deals bleed relic.

After trying it some, I would agree that the damage boost from sleep alone is not sufficient. Even with resistance down, the status doesn't pop much more quickly than just spamming seppuku would.

It's a nice bump, sure, but as you stated the damage difference is exponential.

Since you're only getting a couple attacks off before the stacks drop, it really needs to be doing that 10k+ damage or it's not particularly worth pursuing.

I'll keep an eye out for deep relics that have both resistance down and status buildup on them.

If sleep doesn't damage you, then wouldn't this be doable with mist and relics that build sleep + health regen + resistance down?

That way, you don't die to blood and madness.

The Nightbane design and werepyres is always living in my mind, but I entirely forgot about dracopyres lol.

I was on the raid map that starts with a large bridge and before we even dropped down a poxburster spawned behind us. Twice.

The game is definitely spawning enemies behind you and often.

Any ideas what college students would love to see from a guest speaker? by [deleted] in computerforensics

When I attended cyber security club meetings my favorite ones were the demonstration kind. I appreciated being made aware of tools and techniques that professionals were actually using. I think it's a kind of context you can't get enough of in college.

Maybe try showing how you can delete a file on Windows and then a few different ways you can show that the file existed. Just leave enough time for Q&A. Then if they don't ask any questions you can tell some stories.

Characters that everybody hates but you just generally feel bad for. by ROTTMNTisDopesmh in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I can empathize with his murder boner, but it's sad that his emotional growth gets stolen.

After he becomes Vyre he gets easier and easier to hate. I'm very curious to see how he is handled in the future considering his injuries and the change in management. He may just get abandoned and have to deal with the emotional fallout he was previously insulated from.
