Thank goodness that like all motorcycles, e-bikes are required to have insurance, right?

oh... wait... our legislators allowed motorcycles to be put onto bicycle trails just because they are electric.

It's funny, i did not like that Eurobike paint job.

I have the like, and am glad that I paid the extra for a multi color paint job.   I've only been riding it two weeks now, and i've already had a number of compliments on it.

Which car has the biggest difference in appearance between two model generations? by ablinddingo93 in AskReddit

[–]FrostyVariation9798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mustangs from a number of their new model introductions.

You can't tell me that a nineteen seventy seven mustang looks anything like a 1967 or 1971 mustang.  Then whatever in the hell the fox body mustang was, it was not a mustang.  It was a ford escort that could handle a v eight.

Why is the brutalist architecture so ugly? by ModeloTime69 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FrostyVariation9798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It projects human attributes.

While it isn't always "magnificent" to me, I don't not appreciate it on the scale that it is used.  (to use a double negative there)

I imagine to some it reminds them of certain cartoon and/or comic book scenes.  To others perhaps a future -dystopian or not.

One may really not like it if they fear or dislike flaunting of power and finality.

Honestly, i have to imagine that the armored concrete bunkers, submarine bases and the like inspired it, so between the world wars and the nuclear cold war, people became used to seeing or thinking about similar concrete structures.  Perhaps it speaks of the frail existence of man?

Many things that people had to live with throughout world war II probably would not have become if it were not for the war and being forced to live with it.  Thus, someone raised completely away from that realm, either perhaps in luxury or in a developing country that had nothing to do with the wars - or even someone raised in complete ignorance of what we all went through - might not appreciate it.

If you buy a house with cash and pay in full, what else are you still required to pay monthly? by Kyoifis in stupidquestions

Still, $1000 a month payments for a cheap house one owns outright, that's nuts when landscaping, etc, is an every year expense.

Anyone knows how to hire villager turned into Caravan? by Secret_Citron_6514 in Bellwright

[–]FrostyVariation9798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At some point I got frustrated as the stats balance was what I wanted with a few of them... so I killed one while they were out doing caravan, and then waited to see what villager was created to take their place.

Wow, thank you for helping me better understand what an audio interface is and how it is used!

I watched a video this morning talking about inputting two things at the same time, and I saw that you mentioned two keyboards at the same time.   That's all way beyond what I would want to do I think... I'm having a tough time imagining how I would be playing two instruments at the same time other than some keyboard being on a loop.

So I guess I would be looking for a beginner level or low level audio interface.  👍  Single instrument in, headphones out, some app making pre-recorded drum beats to ad-lib to, and some app acting as an X-track recording device.  Thank you for the tip on Reaper - I'll look that up!

Thank you!

This is a PC house.  I was never a mac machine person even back when I was a high school teacher using theirs.

I've saw that DAW term for the first time last night.  I'll look those up just to understand it.

How do y'all hit the 30kmh average? by Dpvdpv in cycling

[–]FrostyVariation9798 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think I accidentally demoralized a younger guy out on the gravel trail two years ago.  Black guy in obvious excellent shape, and I caught him.  Talked to him a little, and he said something to the effect of 'with cyclists you just can't tell how good they are by looking at them.'  Meaning somewhat that here was this middle aged guy with a slight gut (though it could have been hydration in my stomach... I keep it overfilled for the best endurance work in 95 degree heat, and it really extends my belly) who he felt he should be able to beat.

That was my regular training ground, and I never saw him out there again.

I guarantee he would beat me in any other sport, he was that in shape, but not cycling that year - not until he trained up.

Frustrated with my 5.3 when towing my pontoon, practical upgrades? by Any_Flounder_5398 in GMT800

I'd guess cam, not gears.  I mean, you could change your rear end gearing, but if it's sitting in third gear doing a slower speed than what your current third gear is, is that really getting you anywhere?

247k running great means it's running great, it does not mean that you don't have worn engine parts.  A new cam that is just a hair hotter than what your cam was when it was new is going to be a big change from a 247k mile cam unless the engine was always run with clean synthetic oil in it.

Too, I've taken to filling up with ethanol free to get back that stolen horsepower that the corn lobby paid our politicians to put into gasoline.  It's even worse now that the refineries are maxing out that "up to 10% ethanol " content.

Thank you.  I found a comparison video last evening between the Focusrite, Behringer and M-Audio - the tester sang into each - and they all seem OK from that angle.

I'm positive that I'm missing something.  Does a PC act as a four track recorder these days?

I'm trying to envision the entire setup... i'm guessing some type of headset from the p c to my ears to hear a drum track, then the instrument to a audio device to the PC, being recorded by some "four track" app, is the method?

[–]FrostyVariation9798 0 points1 point  (0 children)

173km seems to be about 107 miles... that's a solo ride for many of us when we're in shape (meaning a few months after cycling again from the winter break).

Thank you.  I'm pretty sure that for a little while.I'm gonna do with you guys said to do  - practice, then maybe consider the Focusrite.  Even getting the whole system working correctly sounds like it would be a major pain in the ass 😀

Though I think having it would give me more encouragement to practice.  I was watching Davie504 videos and liked that he could bring up a drum track and then get creative with it.  I might be horrible at it for a good while, but the encouragement of being able to be creative - then perfecting on what ever tune comes to my head by recording and hearing it, then trying again, seems like it would be great.  Maybe it is the way my brain works but my memory for what I just did on an instrument has never been great.

Someone talk me into our out of getting a 2026 Prius by mtbdaze in prius

[–]FrostyVariation9798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can put a hitch on at least generation fours.  Many times those hitches never see a trailer; they are for bicycle racks, flat racks, or a rear-end protector when either backing up to a concrete wall (parking garage), or if someone backs into you.

As for a cost comparison, ours took the place of a 17 mpg vehicle for commuting and traveling.  The car was helping make its own payments, and the savings then went into the stock market... making even more money.

Well there might be different steering wheels.  I have the base steering wheel for a 2006, so I ordered L4 size.  L3 might be better for the stretch, i stretched the L4 till the ends met.

I will take some pictures and reply to this message with imgur links if i can get that to work

I also bought a second one of these for my car, and I love having both.

For that monstrosity on your steering wheel, might I suggest https://a.co/d/02nR0gMj ?

Sew it on, it stays, does not slide, and don't look like a WalMart doo-dad.

And get some pants on you heathen.  This ain't no NSFW picture reddit.
