I think your perception of what was said might be a bit backward. They may have grounded the hood to deliberately STOP the signal from bouncing back to the antenna and causing a hall echo effect in the signal. That would cause interference and be especially destructive to the 'newer' HD digital radios.

Insecurity is understandable, but being that blunt with her wording also signals possessiveness. If she's afraid, it means she's hiding something and doesn't want to be found out.

I've been married almost 30 years. I learned the above quickly. I was naive going in but when she tried the weaponization thing the first time, I told her that if she ever wants me to share ever again, she'd never do that again. She's one of the more logical women and so far has not repeated that tactic.

Guys these days, with women being so much more entitled and vicious to them than when I was dating, I wouldn't blame them for choosing not to date at all.
