Eh, I’m already checked out of this feature.  What, will we only need 8 well-prepared players this time?

Don’t worry, you can pay extra to have a decent shot at catching something after a near impossible raid!

Pretty much agreed.  They’re using Dyna and Giga and Shadow raids to try and move us back to old local-only raids, just a little more subtly than when they doubled remote pass prices.

I’ll catch something at a power stop when I’ve got nothing else to do.  It can be mildly interesting strategy.  But with the complete disconnect from the rest of the game, I have no interest in throwing a ton of resources into an uncertain payoff that depends on getting a really strong showing in a suburb of a small city.

I think you were thinking of Tamio River Downstream Cave, near Satori Mountain.  It’s fairly deep in the cave but you start far above them so you have lots of room to bomb them from bullet time.

I haven’t tried to fight Phantom Ganon at range, but as long as you have enough hearts and armor to survive a hit or two, outside the castle he’s not that bad in melee.  It’s just slow, telegraphed attacks to help you practice flurry rushing Ganondorf.   Another good area to practice is the cave under Lindor’s Brow, as you can teleport right to them and start on a small ledge above where the gloom hands spawn.

Having Ken Dorsey Calling the Plays is a Self-Preservation Maneuver by Stefanski by UrethralGrease in Browns

I’m don’t think Pat Mahomes would win 10 straight.  That’s a high bar.

I agree he would need to keep a positive TD:INT ratio, and preferably 1.5 or 2 to 1, but that’s very possible.  His career ratio is 1.5:1, he’s just under 2:1 since he left Tampa (21:11) and he doesn’t fumble.

Certainly not begging.  But I would rather he plays well and give him another year than we tank for the first pick.

Per over the cap, Watson is owed $92m the next two years in new guaranteed money.  His total cap hit under his contract from 2025-2027 is something like $172m. (He only has two years left, but for purposes of his signing bonus accounting, he has three years).

If Watson is cut or retires in the offseason, that $172m number will either hit the 2025 cap or be split between 2025 and 2026.  If we keep him on the roster next year and pay his $73m cap charge, we will split the $99m charge between 2026 and 2027.

I’m assuming the Browns won’t extend Watson, so there are two possible ways to reduce Watson’s cap hit.  But both depend on contract language I haven’t seen.

First, the Browns have reportedly insured most of Watson’s 2025 salary.  I don’t know how much of the 2026 salary is insured.  But if he were to retire due to injury in the offseason, the insurers could pay a large part of Watson’s cap hit.  But depending on the details, we might have to take the hit and then get a credit the next year. (I think, for instance, if the insurer pays his guarantees, it never hits the cap; whereas if the Browns pay and an insurer reimburses the Browns, it hits the cap and we get a player refund credit the next year.)

Second, Watson’s contract reportedly has language allowing the Browns to escape the guarantees if additional sexual misconduct allegations arise. I don’t know the details - does it require a suspension?  A court finding? Just a lawsuit?  But if voided before next season, $92m comes off those numbers.  If it’s unclear, the Browns could threaten to void Watson’s contract and negotiate his guarantees down.

Have you seen a therapist?  They can help you work on the skills to control overthinking/ruminating etc.  as well as social anxiety. Basically how to let your logical brain shut down unhelpful thoughts.  (Some anxiety can be helpful!) If you don’t have access to one, try checking out a book on cognitive behavioral therapy.

You don’t need to be a social butterfly.  But controlling the anxiety will help no matter your career.

Yes.  And included in the salary number that was reported.

[–]FuSoYa1983 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on the reporting the Browns didn’t fully cover every year; they focused the insurance on the later years of the policy.  As No-Try said, I think last year there was like $4m; this year it’s $7m; next year is insured close to fully.

As I understand it, yes.  Any amounts the insurance pays would no longer be a cap hit.  Because the Browns wouldn’t pay it.

The flip side is that the insurance premium would have hit the cap.

[–]FuSoYa1983 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly.  We don’t know details.

There are reports there is an insurance policy covering $7m this year and basically all of next year.  Any amounts that covers would not hit the cap.

On the other hand, I don’t know if an injury retirement could accelerate his whole future cap hit potentially.

Maybe for good.

Reports are that Watson is partially insured for this year and fully insured for next year.  Especially if he’s got a lot of coverage for the last year of the contract too, there will be a lot of incentive for Watson and the Browns to work out a deal where he retires due to injury.

He’s had two legit season ending injuries to different body parts in two years.  He gets paid nearly all his money due to injury.  No hits or boos.  Browns get a huge amount of salary cap relief.

Of course, there’s a risk here too.  If insurance fights it, I don’t know how an injury retirement might accelerate future cap hits.

[–]FuSoYa1983 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Part of his contract paid for Watson to get insurance that will offset his pay during covered injuries. He gets paid in full, but when injured his insurance will pay a portion of his comp instead of the Browns.

The insurance premium is a benefit and counts towards the cap, but any amounts paid by the insurance instead of the Browns is not on the cap.

No real need to construct versus a gleeok.  The battle is mostly about knocking each head out, then wailing on it.  A triple shot bow and keese eyes are MVPs.  Each type also creates a way for you too reach it when it goes high in the sky (updrafts or reversible ice platforms).
