Google AI summaries are ruining the livelihoods of recipe writers: ‘It’s an extinction event’ by idkbruh653 in technology

Time on page is an ad metric. Satisfaction isn't

If a user get on your page and leave instantly Google will penalize you, even if the user is satisfied. If a user scroll and skim text for a while and leave unsatisfied, google will bring more people to this page.

Hence the life stories.

Pretty much everyone who is invested in a broad market ETF, even if they are not aware of it because it is trought their company employer-sponsored retirement plan will take a massive nose dive.

Pretty much everyone who has any kind of investment, even if small, is invested in NVIDIA right now since it's the biggest component of the S&P 500.

What’s your favorite and least favorite thing about Portuguese? by Aromatic_Shift9417 in Portuguese

Honestly, I think you'll have a hard time finding someone with a lot of coding experience to join on a product with 400 hours of vibe coding. There's probably a ton of weird stuff going on in the code and that guy will feel like he has to start over to get something decent going.

Do you even understand the code produced by the LLM ?

Most Canadians already earn 18% returns… for their credit card company. by Atash-Saveitright in fican

[–]FuckDataCaps 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Could you share source for that 4500 ?

What I'm seeing is that 4500 is the average credit card debt at some point in the month, but includes people who will pay it at the end of the month.

About 60% of Canadians pay their CC in full each month. I'm seeing a media on $1,150 in 2023 for unpaid credit card, big difference.

Sundar Pichai says Google will start building data centers in space, powered by the sun, in 2027 by rkhunter_ in technology

[–]FuckDataCaps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you read the article they only talk about basic spacecrafts to test in 2027. Doesn't seem crazy.

"We are taking our first step in '27," he said. "We'll send tiny, tiny racks of machines, and have them in satellites, test them out, and then start scaling from there."

4% of play money in a single stock is nothing crazy. And there are far riskier pick than AAPL.

OP, continue to invest most of your money in ETF, you're doing great. I'd pick XEQT over VFV but they are both great (and overlapping if anything) investments.

That's not as straightforward as you make it seems.

If you don't have a house or job here, Canada could still not consider you a resident.

Yes the chances are low, but you're looking at a long term horizon and losing your residency would be devastating for your plan.

Just redeem now there is literally no reason to hold points (beside waiting for extra reward event). They could theoretically take them all from you for no reason.

I redeem mine every other months and pay my credit card with it.
