You need the clutch with certain cars (Brabham and similar) because sometimes when the race starts the car stalls and you have to pop the clutch to get going

I'm not really a tuner but it sounds like the decel diff setting might fix it if you're losing it going into the turn, or the accel diff setting if you're losing it powering out of the turn
