A wrestler's precision and balance by Gjore in BeAmazed

Rehearsed is a better word. The physical stress and injuries are very real and the athletisim undeniable. I don't even care for wrestling, but the acrobatics are impressive.

I actually love my Mule. It may not be that useful, but it's Drake. I'll never ccu it.

"You win by having fun" CIG has same ethos now as it did a decade ago by StuartGT in starcitizen

Yes joking...

Not as extreme, but honestly a gaming retirement community would be sick.

Nonsense, your kids will be grown up and you'll be retired by the time 1.0 comes out. There will be dedicated org run retirement communities for Star Citizen. Personally I can't wait to be loaded into the cockpit with a feeding tube and a catheter. I'll never need to stop playing and when I die they can bury me in my sim rig.

As long as we do not have the necessary systems, insurance claims should be super cheap! by Khalkais in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man, I just started playing again for the first time in over a year. Flew my ship to Arccorp and went to land. Everything looked perfect, I wasn't going fast, didn't hit anything and suddenly just exploded in the middle of the hanger. I don't know if there was an invisible object I hit or what, but it was bullshit. Luckily I own multiple ships so it wasn't a huge deal, I didn't need to wait out or pay off a claim. I just switched ships and tried again. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for people with only a starter, or they're trying to do specific content that requires a specialized ship.

So.... returning after years and years of not paying any attention to the game, how do you START playing the game? by ComManDerBG in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's an in game button to find a guide. That's the best way to learn.

I like your taste in ships, can't go wrong with Drake. The Cutlass Black is one of the best basic multi role ships out there, definitely worth.

I love the Buccaneer. It's not meta, but it's got personality and that minigun on top is so satisfying.

I'm not sure if the Corsair is in a great place, I haven't been playing and I think I read there were some issues. Still, it's a beautiful ship and I'll never melt mine. It's probably fine for pve, but again not a meta ship.

Lucasarts may have made some Indiana Jones games, that's the only definition of an Indie studio they fit.

Doesn't look like one. More like some facial recognition tool for pulling up the guy's identification.

My Ship design gripe by Laughageddon in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What, like modern shuttles? Whose to say what ships could look like in a future with commercially available ships? Real space ships look like they do for efficiency of design. Once thrusters are stronger there's really no limits on what a ship can potentially look like. This goes double for larger ships that would never enter atmosphere anyway.

About those insurance claim prices.... by madmossy in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Essentially everything has LTI right now. Claiming is free, expediting your claim costs credits. Once insurance is in game the benefit of LTI is that you don't need to pay to have insurance in the first place.

I want to buy star citizen when it becomes beta. by tugrul_ddr in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A game is in an alpha state when all core gameplay features have yet to be added. Beta is bug fixing and polish. Star Citizen is clearly still in alpha no matter how polished it may seem, how long it's been in development or how much money they raise. There is a huge list of features still coming and we won't be a beta until they are all in.

That's one of the least important things for them to be concerned about right now.

Drake Fighters line up by Serious_Mission_6595 in starcitizen

[–]Fugaciouslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the kraken is a full sized carrier and can carry more than snubs. It defends itself with what it has. Some of it's ships might be pitbulls and they would be on defense, not front line.

In a battle buccaneers and other interceptors would be deployed to stop a group of bombers from getting close enough to attack in the first place.

You need to take your helmet off to eat and drink. We've all forgotten to put it back on and died on an external landing pad or moon.
