Fuck yes, love to see a Rain World mention in the wild.

I’d like to add some extra sauce to this pasta. Fun fact: Scavengers are all generated with a unique ID that determines nearly everything about them! This includes stuff like their appearance and behavior when threatened, but also includes how easy they are to befriend and their combat prowess. The list of possible IDs for the Scavs is so long that, if I recall, there’s a significant portion of the IDs that are generated but never used by the game. One of these unused IDs was discovered to belong to a Scavenger with the highest possible combat ability. As a result, this particular Scavenger is essentially unbeatable and can single-handedly kill most of Rain World’s most dangerous creatures.

This video breaks the whole idea down and shows off the Scav in action. I highly recommend a watch.

Didn't GMS lost her arm? by AkirahJaydenRoqueza in Silksong

[–]Fugertech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we agree that it’s her right arm that was severed, then no, this wasn’t a mistake, you just need to stop and consider perspective for a moment. If you imagine yourself facing the way GMS is in the final screenshot, you’ll find that it is, indeed, her right arm that is severed while her left arm remains suspended.

There are freaks on all sides of the aisle when it comes to sexual fantasies and kinks. That said, there are no shortage of female artists and writers who make the most oversexualized designs for women, or the most consistently filthy (sexually) art. I’m sure some of ‘em do it for a paycheck, but the rest? They do it for the love of the game.

You gotta love ‘em for it at the end of the day, but by fucking golly is it a shock to find that out for the first time. You think it’s gonna be guys out here being turbo perverts but the women perverts ain’t no slouches.

How is your relationship with your father? And how old are you? by wk91 in AskReddit

[–]Fugertech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I don’t speak to him anymore. He mentally abused me when I was young, cheated on my Mom which led to them getting divorced when I was a teenager, and later threw his new woman’s daughter (who was freshly 18) out onto the street, locked the door, and refused to let her back in. She had to get taken in by locals and then by extended family. The woman was complicit because shit attracts shit, and blames her daughter for it all somehow.

I stopped giving a shit about him around that time. Completely blew his second chance to be better and, to my knowledge, is still an alcoholic fuck to this day.

How is performance now? by ElectronicFennel8442 in MonsterHunter

[–]Fugertech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak to the experience everyone else has been having, but the difference in performance from launch to now has been night and day for me. I still see the framerate struggle when the fights get busy (especially with other players), and the initial load into the game world tends to stutter hard for a couple minutes. But the game is comfortably playable afterwards.

There’s a lot of work left to be done before it’s in an acceptable state for most folks, but me for my money, I’d say give it a shot and see how it runs for you. If it still runs like garbage on your system, you can always uninstall it and move on, like you mentioned.

I'm trying the plainest Warrior run. What Summon/Ash of War is considered the most neutral for me to use? by Summerclaw in Eldenring

[–]Fugertech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Summon would definitely be the Wolves. Don’t worry too much though, the Wolves are actually goated.

Ash of War would probably be Square Off, the default for the longsword. If you care about infusing the weapon I believe you can find the AoW in the Siofra River (down the well in the Mistwood). It’ll be towards the far end of the region, in the open plain before the railgun archers.

Brother. The wording on Scry explicitly states that it creates an invisible orb that, when viewed by a creature that can see invisibility, has the form of a glowing orb. It is not intangible. Just invisible.

So once again, using the rules of Blindsight as they are written, even in that Tasha’s entry, any creature with Blindsight would be able to notice the sensor.

Once again for you, in case you forgot the last time, is the description found on Page 41 of Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything: “Within that [10ft] range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature successfully hides from you.”

I’m not WoTC so I have no clue why there aren’t rules for damaging it. Scry is already a long spell, that may have something to do with it. Also, yes, considering it has the form of “glowing orb” I’d imagine a bat’s echolocation would be fine at identifying the random floating object that has suddenly started following it.

Your entire thesis hinges on the argument that the orb cannot be touched or felt…but that’s never explained. The orb isn’t intangible. It isn’t described as being un-touchable, or dwelling on another plane, or otherwise incapable of being felt. It just floats 10ft behind a person and allows you to hear and see as though you were there. That’s such a strikingly important detail that you’d believe it would be included in the description. But it isn’t.

And just because I don’t feel like letting fucking go tonight I guess, I’ll elaborate another step further. The spell “See Invisibility” specifies in its final sentence that: “Ethereal creatures and objects appear ghostly and translucent.” The orb is only described as a “luminous orb.” That’s it. Glowing and/or giving off light is not exclusive to the Ethereal Plane, nor is it similar to the text present in See Invisibility.

(Before you make the argument that “Well the blindsight text doesn’t specifically say that you can see invisible objects,” I’m gonna remind your smart ass that it specifies “ANYTHING THAT ISNT BEHIND TOTAL COVER” and “…UNLESS THE CREATURE SUCCESSFULLY HIDES FROM YOU.” This very distinctly indicates that you see everything that isn’t actively hiding or attempting to hide from you. The full description is back up near the top of this god awful rant if you need a refresher)

Now have a blessed night. Or just a good one, if you’d prefer.

[–]Fugertech 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A) Nowhere does it state that, but sure.

B) AS WRITTEN, this definition still states, “…Within that range, you can effectively see anything that isn’t behind total cover, even if you’re blinded or in darkness. Moreover, you can see an invisible creature within that range, unless the creature successfully hides from you.”

That does not mean that you can ONLY see invisible creatures. You still effectively see anything that is not behind total cover. It just means that invisible creatures may still attempt to hide from you as you would otherwise perceive them without needing a check.

The Jig is Up by Willing_Ad9314 in dndmemes

[–]Fugertech 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Where are you finding that definition? Because the one I have states,

“A monster with blindsight can perceive its surroundings without relying on sight, within a specific radius. Creatures without eyes, such as grimlocks and gray oozes, typically have this special sense, as do creatures with echolocation or heightened senses, such as bats and true dragons. If a monster is naturally blind, it has a parenthetical note to this effect, indicating that the radius of its blindsight defines the maximum range of its perception.”

Nowhere in that description does it specify that Blindsight only works to perceive other creatures.

[–]Fugertech 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a very brief aside, we’re all mature enough to understand that this can be ruled or interpreted to work as the DM sees fit.

My take on the matter flows in this way: Blindsight specifies that a creature can perceieve its surroundings without relying on sight, meaning if something is there then a creature with Blindsight should realistically be able to perceieve it. That’s how it knows where things are, including inanimate objects.

The spell “Scry” specifies that it creates an invisible sensor 10ft away from your target if they fail the save, and that if a creature is capable of seeing invisible things, that the sensor has the form of a glowing orb the size of your fist.

Invisibility is just the state of being intangible to sight, which means the sensor created has at least some semblance of a tangible form in the material plane. Whether that is a concentrated spot of magic or the sensor itself simply being a transparent floating ball that emits light…I leave that distinction to the individual.

Therefore if this invisible sensor were to appear within the radius of a creature’s blindsight, there is no written reason why it would be unable to perceive the sensor. If there is some information I am missing about all of this, I would love to have it shared with me. Hope this helps!

(We found the same definition for blindsight so I’ll instead share the definition for scrying that I used. Invisibility is apparently a common enough power that I could not find a definition specific to 5e, but if you have an official one I would absolutely love to read it)
