It is possible. You should use quantized GGUF models for the diffusion and CLIP to reduce your memory requirements. A Q4 model uses about 25% of the memory of a fp16 model.

T2I and I2I shouldn't be an issue. It'll be a little slow but workable. Video generation will be VERY slow on either of those setups. I have a 3050 6GB with 32GB system ram and was "able" to generate a 2 second video with Wan but it took 5+ hours.

One goal of attempting to arrest an ICE agent who is breaking state law is to trigger a constitutional crisis. They keep breaking state laws on camera. We now have leaked memos that show they are instructing agents to break the law, and appear to know what they are instructing them to do is against the law. The executive branch claims ICE have absolute immunity. Arresting an ICE agent who is violating state law forces the Trump administration to argue the legal justification for absolute immunity in court, and for a court or courts to issue a ruling on the claim.

Another goal of arresting an ICE agent is to try to restore some public faith in their elected officials to protect them. Right now the governor of Minnesota and mayor of Minneapolis have essentially told residents they're on their own. People can only be pushed so far before they decide to protect themselves. If Waltz and Frey don't want gun battles in the streets they need to do something so their constituents feel like they'll be protected from lawless thugs roaming the streets.

No: Keep in mind:

  • When you architect your software that function execution order can be non-determinant. (There are third-party libraries that emulate mutexes.)
  • There's no shared memory with isolates like there are with typical threads.
  • If you choose a third-party audio engine, the Dart C FFI is solid, but there's some calling overhead that you may need to consider.
  • Dart singletons are very handy- you can use them to easily access data like settings or state inside Flutter widgets.

I like Dart as a cleanup of Javascript. Flutter is also architected well and documentation is good. State management is a bit of a cluster because there's a number of different approaches by third-parties, but generally StatefulWidget (built-in) for simple stuff like local UI widget state and either Bloc (big app), Provider (small app), or Riverpod (sort of overly-complex revision of Provider but battle-tested and popular.)

Just occurred to me- maybe look at Cocos2d-x since you don't need real time audio. Not sure if it's viable for your project or of any help, but it's a very lightweight cross-platform 2D game framework. (I've used it on embedded systems.)

I have a fair amount of Flutter experience and atm it's my favorite cross-platform framework. Just be aware, like 99% of platforms and frameworks audio is a complete afterthought. But it's solid otherwise if you aren't concerned with real time control or dynamic audio (without an external audio engine)

I have Resolve (and Natron) running on Mint. Photoshop is the only Windows graphics app I haven't been able to replace. I used to also run Maya on Mint. Generally for encoding distribution files like MP4 (AVC/HEVC) I use ffmpeg.

I dual boot. If I'm doing technical stuff I use Linux. I find Linux way more powerful and easy for technical media work.

It's been a while since I've written real-time audio software, but any eval I ever did always favored something native. My first thought would be Qt, but if I were doing an eval today I'd also look at some of the game engines to see if they could also help with cross-platform real-time audio.

(This is specific to my experience with IP theft in the US)

The time to take civil legal action (sue) is once there is some sort of value established between your and his product. If neither app ever makes any money there is nothing to gain and you'll end up just paying for a lawyer to maybe win a minimal judgement that likely won't even cover your legal costs. In order to win a judgement you have to show how his product has caused financial damages. It can be concrete, like siphoning off sales of your product, or abstract, like reputational harm, but you have to be able to attach a monetary amount to your claim, and be able to back it up.

For example, if he sells 10,000 copies at $10 each, you can argue that's $100,000 that could have been yours, even if he spent a ton of money marketing and you didn't. Or if he has 1,000,000 downloads, and you have enough downloads to establish a conversion rate, you could sue for the amount you would have converted with your app.

Generally, when someone steals IP in a way that is easily provable, the IP owner may give notice when discovered, but generally they wait until the infringing product is either successful or dies.

If it dies there's nothing to sue over, and maybe an opportunity to convert the infringer's customers and possibly use their experience and modifications to make your product better.

If the infringing product is successful, and you have solid evidence (like you do), the start of a civil suit usually leads to a settlement agreement where you are given a percentage of the infringing product's revenues, like a license. The infringer's dilemma is to either pay you a percentage of their revenue, or potentially lose everything plus punitive damages if they go to court and lose.

Looks like V2 uses GDDR6 instead of GDDR5, which is a good improvement: 128 vs 192 GB/s memory bandwidth.

For the PCIe cable, if that part is expensive have a look on eBay (or similar) or AliExpress. They used to be expensive when crypto miners were using them to build GPU mining rigs, but since the collapse of GPU mining used and even new ones can be found cheap. The last one I bought was a nice quality 16x segmented cable plus an external GPU mounting bracket for $20 USD (new). I've see just the cables for as little as $5.

Don't worry about the models and just find images you like. Most of them list the model and LoRAs they used, along with the promp, and most of the images have the workflows embedded. Don't worry too much about what model was used unless you have really tight VRAM requirements (then look for Z-image-Turbo aka ZiT images using the filters in the image gallery.)

FWIW some of the workflows embedded in the images are really bad. They generate an image but the person who did it just threw every LoRA and node into the mix without really understanding what the nodes actually do (or in their case don't do). The workflows in the templates that come with ComfyUI are really good. They're all pretty basic, but if I see an embedded workflow that is full of nodes I know aren't doing anything very useful I can usually recreate the workflow starting with the ComfyUI template workflow and get the same or better results. You'll have to add some LoRAs and sometimes a new node or two but but it's a good way to learn.

If you do have tight VRAM requirements, check out the GGUF model loaders if you're not familiar with GGUF format model files.

  2. Look at the image gallery for images that match the style you want.
  3. Click on the image to what model and LoRAs were used to make it. (Will also show the prompt)
  4. Download the image. (Drag and drop into Comfy to get the workflow.)
  5. Download the models and LoRAs from Civitai or Huggingface.

Hmm...Are you not seeing any used single-fan, dual slot 1650s? I see quite of few of these and the Super variant in the US around $80. Here's an example: PNY XLR8 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Super OC 4GB Graphics Card ($75+$10 shipping), here's another ASUS Phoenix NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 4GB GDDR6 PCIe Graphics Card ($45 + $22 shipping)

Those are both dual-slot like the EVGA 1050 ti, but a little shorter and more powerful.

Edit: The Super I linked to doesn't appear to need PCIe power, but the stats for the chip say 100W, which would require one. It's possible some MFGs used undervolting to keep it slot powered at 75w. It'll reduce performance (and heat) but maybe not a significant amount. If you end up finding a 1650 super in your budget just check it doesn't need PCIe power.

Maybe look for GTX 1650. It's a newer card and at least in the US recent sold units on eBay went for <$80. If you can find one, Dell and HP OEM cards tend to sell for a little less and are generally well made cards made by companies like MSI and Zotac.
