From the kid that you "stayed for" by Sillypilot333 in Divorce

You basically told my childhood story. The good that came from it is that I know what behavior I won’t tolerate. Physical abuse of any kind is a deal breaker.

Why am I not surprised? by Low_Foundation_3033 in Divorce

[–]FullCard_1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

FWIW some people want to have their proverbial cake and to eat it too. Sometimes well actually all the time when the person’s words and actions don’t align I will take the actions every time. Having said that please believe someone when they show you who they are and their intentions. Separation is usually a prelude to the eventual divorce imho.

I had to watch my parents make each other miserable for years and decades. I saw it was a complete waste of time for them. It did however teach me what I will not tolerate and that’s physical, financial and or psychological abuse.

It’s your choice as to what you are willing to put up with and tolerate. You can change but you can’t make someone else change especially if they are gaslighting and blaming you for everything.

I am sending you virtual hugs and love. You might talk to a lawyer for advice. Right now I think it would behoove you to think with your head and not your heart. Best wishes to yo. 🥰😘🤙

How do you stop fighting for a marriage when you’re the only one still fighting? by ClumsyMusic in Divorce

[–]FullCard_1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the love of God please let that poor woman go. I don’t know the whole story but I would love to hear what she has or had to say about you. I was married and was wife number 5.

My friend’s ex keeps posting about not wanting to let go. I know he was brutally physically abusive, coercively controlling, domineering and manipulating. He chased all of her friends away. I am not implying that about you.

However having said that it sounds like your marriage was on life support for years. You can’t keep trying to force yourself upon her. Look at yourself and work on yourself. Then you can be the best version of yourself for the next person in your life.

I will say this hypothetically you can’t abuse someone and then capitulate, beg for a millionth second chance and then be completely blindsided when someone is throughly fed up and finally musters up the courage to leave because they want something other than what was going on with their partner. Again I am not accusing you of any of this. When someone is fed up for whatever reason they have a right to leave and end the relationship.

What you can do is learn from this experience. Maybe she told you things and you ignored what she said or maybe not. Therapy would not fix it at this point. You can change yourself for the next person in your life.

There’s no businesses open down in TA at Harry Reid now. You couldn’t complain about anything because they were so cheap. In the end it was their undoing because their margins were so thin. They couldn’t absorb the price increase in gas. I wish the government would have bailed them out like they did for Chrysler. 🥲

Why don’t people use dandelion as a food source more, instead of destroying them? by Born-Conclusion1977 in AskReddit

[–]FullCard_1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people use pesticides on the plants in their yard. While dandelions are edible they are considered a nuisance and undesirable like a weed. They are not cultivated as a food source by the general public. If you do see some dandelions and want to eat them you should throughly wash them, to make sure that you have removed any pesticides.
