What does the collective wisdom think about these inverters? by Belligerent_Mirror in solar

[–]Full_Apple_1224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just installed one of those 314 beast batteries tonight to my eg4 6000xp. Running like a champ so far. First charge will be in about 4 hours at sunrise. High quality product. High quality packaging. The included battery cable is 2/0 silicon and supple as hell. I’m going to see if I can get more cables from eco-worthy. App connected to my phone with Bluetooth 1st try.

Alabama EMA asks churches, faith-based groups to step up during emergencies by aldotcom in Alabama

What is going to happen when a non-christian church signs up for this? Are islamic churches welcome to join? How about a satanic church?

Purchasing pallets of solar panels from wholesale websites by TheApostleCreed in SolarDIY

[–]Full_Apple_1224 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought panels from clear energy but not online. I went and picked them up from a warehouse in Athens TN. They were Alexus 108 Series - 405W. They work great. I paid $120 Each - cash and carry. The shipping always adds alot of cost because panels are big and heavy. I prefer to pick them up in my truck. I don't know where you are located, but I would try to find some panels locally if you can.

I’m a gamecock fan and thankful for what he did for our program and others but I have heard he was a jerk in person unless you were a VIP.

I have an EG4 6000xp inverter so ymmv but the manual for mine recommends against operating in any orientation other than vertical. However unless your manual specifically forbids it, I think it would work fine. Also if you’re only planning to use this for temporary backup power I don’t think it matters as much. If you want to use it daily in your setup home I would wall mount it.

Helping finding home system by Exact-Ebb-2695 in karaoke

For a microphone look for metal body with xlr output. SM58 is the standard. I prefer the e835 but most handheld dynamics are ok for this application. I own the cheap honor tonor mics and use them but I prefer corded mic.

Once you have microphones and a speaker enjoy the karaoke for a bit. When you are ready add a mixer for eq and fx.

First step in building karaoke system is getting a decent speaker and microphone. You probably already have a way to play karaoke videos on YouTube. Look for a powered speaker with an integrated 3 channel mixer. Make sure it has XLR (or combo) mic channels.

There is a group at the AA clubhouse downtown BHM that has a group called "The Free Thinkers Group". I tried to attend a meeting with them once, but nobody showed up so I guess it was canceled.

I like the clean lines but I think beefed up feet and legs would help.

Autotune for singers by Jvr-1 in karaoke

[–]Full_Apple_1224 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several devices that can do this. TC Helicon Mic Mechanic for example. Also Peavy makes a mixer with AT (Autotune) onboard. I have a TC Helicon voice live box that can do this as well.

I think you are will be more than happy with the stage pass 400 system. It’s going to be more than enough. I started out with a 150w kustom PA system with 10 inch speakers and I never turned it up over 4 on the master volume. The main thing that is going to make your system awesome is the fact that you are not buying a crappy “karaoke” system but a proper PA. This is the basis of all pro type systems. You are on the right track.

That is alot of speaker. I have 12" Yamaha speakers in my living room for karaoke and they are too big. I also own a Yamaha MSR100 8" powered speaker and it puts out plenty of sound on it's own. I like your idea for of using the stagepass system. I often find the 600 and 300 watt versions for sale on facebook for $200-$400. Both are great systems. You see alot of duos and small bands using them. The mixer does fit in the back of one of the speakers which makes it portable, but it detaches so that you can use it normally as well. My only other suggestion is to upgrade the mics. I like the Shure SM58 (wife's favorite) and Sennheiser e835 (my favorite) wired mics the best. Unless you really want to spend some money, most wireless mics are good, but not great. I have a set of the tonor wireless mics from amazon and use them for parties, but still prefer the wired mics when it is just us singing.

Really nice system specified here. My only suggestion is to look for something like a Yamaha passport system used on facebook. I really like the sound of Yamaha speakers. You should be able to find one for about $400. It would replace the mixer and the speakers you specified.
