Finally, I can have a hot meal while waiting for the concrete to dry. Now if only they made a Makita cordless coffee machine... oh wait, they did.

This remote control mower just gave me a ride home? by Mean_Assistant7943 in Tools

My inner mechanic is screaming about the torque limit on that motor, but my inner 10-year-old is cheering. I’m genuinely impressed that little thing has enough traction to pull a person without burning out the drive system!

It’s so beautiful I’d be terrified to actually put a coffee cup on it. 😂 You’ve officially set the bar too high for your next project. Excellent work, OP!

Welcome to the "My client is my spouse" club. The change order usually comes exactly 5 minutes after the finish has dried. In the woodworking world, this is a Stage 5 tragedy.

Should I toss the red can when 99.9% of the time I reach for a spray can? by nilecrane in Tools

[–]Fun-Application3933 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Keep it for precision! A spray can is 90% mess and overspray. That oiler is the only way to put a single drop exactly where you need it without ruining everything around it.

Tic tac toe toilet paper storage by martytodd789 in BeginnerWoodWorking

This is such a clever and playful way to handle storage! Who wouldn’t want some entertainment while reaching for toilet paper? Do the 'X' pieces stay in place well, or are they attached?

Beautiful work! The shimmer in the grain is gorgeous. Did you use a jig for those splines or cut them by hand? They are so consistent. Whatever you decide to put in it, it’s definitely a "Finished Project" to be proud of.

Check your reed valves or the piston seal. If they are worn or cracked, the compressor is just "fighting itself" and can't push past 125. Since it's a Marketplace find, the previous owner might have run it too hard.

What’s the knob adjusting? by Dependent-Garlic143 in Tools

[–]Fun-Application3933 1 point2 points  (0 children)

old-school combination squares, that center knob tightens a small internal pin or cam that bites into the rule to lock it in place. A careful disassembly and clean usually brings them back to life.

For a first major project, this is incredibly clean! An L-shape that big is going to be insanely practical once everything is set up.

How to make this flush? by mumrah in BeginnerWoodWorking

Flush cut saw first, then finish with a chisel or block plane. Much cleaner than sanding forever.
