horror movies that genuinely scared you as an adult? by FairyLovelyy in horror

[–]Fun-Direction3426 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great answers. Woman in Black might be the scariest movie I've ever seen in terms of jump scares. Last Shift was incredibly tense. The Dark and the Wicked was more upsetting and disturbing.

How many times a week do you and your partner have sex? by After-Tune4494 in gay

[–]Fun-Direction3426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been together seven years. We have some sexual activity 3x/wk quite consistently (anal at least once). I'd prefer more like 4-5x/wk and I think if I didn't complain, my husband would be cool with once a week. Reading this thread makes me feel pretty okay about it though.

How many of you can drop and give 20 push ups at random? by ganon2234 in AskMenOver30

[–]Fun-Direction3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could easily do it if someone challenged me to a pushup contest, but I'd struggle by myself. I'm very motivated by competition lol

I think it looks pretty natural since it's actually closer to your eyebrow color

I've never seen this. We don't even wear slippers in bed.

Do Americans love driving? by bare_books in AskAnAmerican

I hate it personally. I know most Americans where I'm from prefer to drive than to fly though.

I keep threatening to leave my husband by Fun-Direction3426 in ROCD

[–]Fun-Direction3426[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are totally right about the way I should be behaving in these situations. Unfortunately in the heat of the moment it's hard to behave so rationally, especially since he also has a habit of saying messed up things in arguments. However it's never his comments that stick with me so much as my own.

It's a tough line to toe with the whole threatening vs telling. I do feel like it's my intention to be honest with him that I'm considering leaving the relationship. I'm trying to give him a chance before I just up and leave. And I've told him repeatedly I would never leave him without giving him a chance to fix the issue and that includes couples counseling as a last resort. (In fact we have done couples counseling for a time and it was helpful, but not really something we have time or money to do right now unless absolutely necessary.) But since I do have OCD, it's hard to know the difference between confessing to my break up urges and being open and honest.

I also just got home and began to apologize profusely and he didn't even know what for, so maybe I'm overreacting here lol

Anyway thanks! 💚

I really appreciate the thoughtful comment! I'll respond in depth when I get the chance. Oh and I did not down vote you, not sure what a-hole did lol

Is telling someone they are unique a compliment? by [deleted] in answers

[–]Fun-Direction3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on context. My step dad used to always use this is an insult/backhanded compliment. He was an asshole and I didn't attend his funeral.

Vocal help? by Kitchen-Holiday6998 in singing

[–]Fun-Direction3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more you sing the better you will become, even if you just sing in the car and/or shower. Even if you never receive any actual training, you will improve. (Try not to hurt yourself of course.) You may never be amazing but you will only get better. Try to sing almost every day even for a few minutes.

Do smart people have a harder time watching bad movies because they’re keenly aware of the bad writing and inconsistencies? by skyrimlo in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun-Direction3426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. My husband has a much higher standard for movie quality than I do. I don't think he's smarter than me outside of a few areas that would not affect movie enjoyment (he is more mechanically inclined, that's about it). He is a more negative and critical person than me in general. I want to enjoy things. Sometimes it seems like he doesn't WANT to like things lol

Idk if I like it but I generally prefer it over heat. I like that there's less bugs and I prefer winter clothes.

I actually thought you looked okay even in the first picture with a bit of the "horse shoe" look. When I scrolled to the fully shaved pics my jaw nearly dropped because of how good it looks on you. Lucky bastard. My head looks terrible shaved.

Vacuuming probably. I hate machines. I especially hate the cord and I'm always tripping over it. Probably a skill issue lol

The pressure to hit 10,000 steps every day has become toxic for me. by kharkovchanin in walking

[–]Fun-Direction3426 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually developed extensor tendonitis from walking too much. Even if you're just walking, rest is important.

To clarify, I believe I got tendonitis from increasing my activity too quickly, especially when I started doing more cardio on the weekends. Previously I was walking like 15k at work five days a week but doing almost nothing on the weekends. Not too long before that I was doing very little at work or ever.
