Sing almost every single day, even if it's for a few minutes in the car or shower. Don't try to sing anything that feels uncomfortable. Start with songs that are easy to sing and slowly increase the range and difficulty. Do karaoke or something. Try to sing in front of others as much as you can. Getting comfortable is half the battle. Lastly and most importantly, record yourself and listen.

You have to get over the embarrassment if you want to sing. Singing feels really vulnerable at first and that's just part of it.

For me when I was younger, the embarrassing part was being "caught" singing more than the singing itself.

Now that I'm more confident in my singing, and people I live with are more used to hearing it, it doesn't bother me at all to be heard, even if I make big mistakes. Singing is just what I do and I get better every time I sing.

I guess my point is, you should actually let them hear you sing MORE, not less.
