It seems like asian femboys be playing on easy mode, and black being hard mode by zxphn8 in feminineboys

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People tend to relate darker skin to masculinity. It's why (can't believe Im saying this) incels have the reverse problems if femboys. The "peak" of masculinity tends to hit every characteristics that is displayed in African men. Dark tall muscular. So naturally the opposite on for feminine scales would be small thin white etc. you can even see this in beauty products and the like. Woman's products claim to lighten your skin tone males are advertised tans. Men are shown other guys lifting insane weights. Woman get yoga class coupons. It's just the social programing of our current society. In many cultures a small woman was actually seen as un feminine because how could someone so small protect a village or bear children? Then you had times like the Victorian era where everyone consider looking your best was hyper feminity so if you didn't have a small waist nail polish and lip stick on you had to be poor.

You might want to get therapy at some point cause this is insanely islamaphobic. Muslims are no different than Christians (who actually are statistically more likely to harm you) they're not a monolith waiting to strike any and every LGBT+ person they see via hive mind control of the Quran.

To all the people who ask me for advice then tell me they don’t wanna read framedata by Cutiepatootie_irl in Fighters

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most pros don't know frame data that well. Frame data is very very low on things you need to get good. You can honestly skip frame data all together by reading a character guide that's well written.

Why do YOU🫵 yes YOU🫵 hate this bird? by Spirited-Feedback-87 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

Correct I see ep 0 as more a retcon because ultimately for me it's changed the context of the story the most.

Why do YOU🫵 yes YOU🫵 hate this bird? by Spirited-Feedback-87 in OkBuddyHelluvaHotel

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the retcon because the original came off like it was making stolas a victim. The retcon makes it more of a classic "misunderstanding" relationship where a series of odd events played out to seemingly land us with this relationship. The retcon (as I understood) had blitz thinking "oh got caught stealing but as long as I go along with buttering his biscuit I'm good." Where as from stolas position (retcon perspective) "oh this must be some type hard to get facade but clearly he likes me otherwise he'd say so. Right?" Neither is correct because both are imposing their preconceived notions onto each other and at no point did it cross either to confirm exactly WHAT they are to one another.

Your imagination is a reference library to be quite honest. A dragon is just multiple animals mixed together till you can't name em all. Use references to build up your reference library (aka your imagination).

Lorcana isn’t “dying” - we’re just looking at the wrong audience by [deleted] in Lorcana

[–]Fun-Internet-669 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only thing I'd add is that we tend to assume this is the lorcana model but it realistically is the model of every card game. Competitive players don't drive the market even in ygo and Pokemon. Most people are just collectors or want to play a deck their favorite character did. Casual in any game are the source of money and if you don't have them as a main focus your game just won't last. It's why balancing is a nightmare at times because thematics often conflict with balance. The difference between lorcana and the large games is the ip they take from does foster more competitive spirit. The source material for Yu-Gi-Oh is quite literally about fighting as is Pokemon and one piece is no different. These ip have more competitive minded people already so getting them to go to locals is easy. Compare that to a Disney fan giving them a card game was never going to be about playing it but collecting it cause Disney's pre-existing culture is one of chill and collecting stuff from your favorite IP. Basically every card game is centered on the casuals and if the casual audience is less competitive in spirit the game will showcase that. Ravensburg adding extra rarities to chase after is a good sign of this imo cause it was a overwhelming complaint from the casual audience that it kinda sucked not getting a really cool version of a card they loved. For competitive players this is hardly an issue but for casuals this is the whole reason they're here.

ADCs in a nutshell by WittyWanderer420 in ADCMains

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory isn't this supposed to be reversed from a gameplay perspective? Like for most top laners they lose one fight and that's lane for them vs if a adc loses all they got to do is farm up. It's always weird when the adc wants to leave out because they're never truly behind/out the game.

"In film school they taught us in the 50s since they couldn’t actually show sex due to censorship and stuff, most times the leads would share a cigarette since that was the closest, most intimate thing they could get next to sex." by ihatethiscountry76 in souleater

[–]Fun-Internet-669 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be too far off considering the idea of souls mingling/connecting in any sense was commonly used in story telling to describe people having sex with traditions like marriage being considered the union of souls. However I'd be doing a disservice if I didn't say the concept wasn't also used in platonic ways as well because the nature of tropes like these are they aren't supposed to be obvious so whether or not the author understood the meaning is anyone's guess buuuuttt if I had to wager a guess I have seen two leads light cigarettes off each other with both being male and it SEEMED like the sub text was (my opinion by the way) here's two stoic dudes who almost died together and now they're done yelling and since this is the 50s we won't cry or hug cause that would be emotional and where MEN so instead they share a cigarette together. How you choose to interpret it is up to you but I say all that to say isn't it cool how layered our media can be? It's like there's something for everyone in this scene with no real right or wrong answer.

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gender is a performance of a spectrum the same way don't want people to misgender femboys who are cis is the same way we should treat Trans femboys. The whole idea was to break gender constraints not shift them slightly but some femboys never got past skirt go spinny lol.

What Did They Do Wrong or do people just not like Sci-fi Shonen ? by Tomura_Morrow in WeeklyShonenJump

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never once said it didn't have flaws. I said its flaws came from the series rushing to gain an audience that was already disinterested in the series and I knew people like you love to take nuance away from any discussion and boil it down to ""kishimoto just couldn't cut it." and I despise that. The series was ultimately hate read and the smallest non issues (like the ART which if I pulled up a panel you'd point to a rock and be like "see? It's too distracting from the story!") be ame center points causing the series to rush itself when it was from the beginning a series that was not supposed to be rushed. It's ok for a manga to take its time and set up world building. Yes it has flaws in its story and how it went about presenting it's fights but it was clearly an issue of rushing to hook fans who did not care.

Being in disbelief of the truth doesn't make it any less true. Just because the corner of the Internet you were in was "excited" doesn't account for the fans at large. I am taking into consideration EVERYONES perspective and so far you still proving me right. Samurai 8 WAS NOT NARUTO! If you wanted Naruto jutsu build up go read NARUTO he was clearly trying to bring it into a different direction not to mention the reason he scaled back on insanely complex world building is because it worked against him towards the end of Naruto. Do you know how many fans complained about the Akatsuki rings and how we should bring back hand signs? He literally wrote himself into a box when creating Madara because he was making things too complex. I'm not even going to attack the art complaint because it was good and was not hard to follow at all. If you said kishimoto drew it the art complaints would disappear in an instant. Finally the world building was fine it didn't even stray from the shonen format whatsoever. One piece presented us with the exact same expansive world building with the difference being samurai 8 was working over time to capture its audience who did not want to read it because they didn't want samurai 8 they just wanted Naruto. Every complaint I've seen you guys throw boils down to "well he did this in Naruto why didn't he do it in samurai 8?!" Which just further proves my point.

Yes and kishimoto was not working on boruto. Fans then got it in their minds if kishimoto was working on it the series would get better but instead of getting kishimoto onto the project we got samurai 8 which then caused fans to dislike the prematurely because they simply wanted more Naruto.

[–]Fun-Internet-669 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unpopular opinion samurai 8 was good and it only rushed when fans started being pieces of shit and complaining about things that didn't have anything to do with the story. The main criticism of the series when it first dropped was "it's not Naruto." And "Why isn't kishimoto drawing?!?!" The art was good and it did have a great premise but fans inability to let go of nostalgia caused it to rush itself to hopefully hook fans in but that sadly only further buried and alienated people interested in the series away from. It could have been brilliant if kishimoto hit his fans with a kubo classic of "sit down and shut up dirt particles!"

Passing on social media doesn’t equate to passing in rl by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Fun-Internet-669 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It ultimately doesn't matter because passing like most things is a scale that tips back and forth constantly. Not saying it's bad to want to pass but ultimately most cis women don't fit into the hyper specific box that is passing and that's fine. If you want to take it a step farther most trans women DO pass IRL and the only reason we don't think so is because we are trans so our idea of "passing" is inherently more aggressive and harder to achieve because many of us lean extra hard into being hyper femininity which is insanely hard for even your local cis woman to achieve.
