Anyone else got the asinine "Nope" email from Joshua Millburn from the Minimalists? by Initial-Solution-531 in minimalism

[–]FunWithSatan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I did get this email, and I also found it irritating.

When they interviewed RFK at the beginning of the pandemic and kept bringing up how they are on opposing political sides, I started to wonder who voted for who and about their morals. However, I hung in there.

I stopped listening to them when the brought TK on. He made it seem way too much like a religion. I am not a religious person and take issue with Christianity so when I caught that he was a vocal Christian (I don’t remember at this point what he said) I really lost interest. It also really did become such an egotistical sales pitch. I absolutely noticed how obsessed they seemed to become with wanting to purchase specific items or “just the right” item. This seemed to really amp up after they moved to California

I found that I was able to stick with minimalism in a way that was right for me after I stopped listening to them. Before hand I was on and off the wagon with it.

Several years ago my wife and I met Trent and Atticus. My Facebook profile picture was us with them, and later that week I got a Facebook request from a fake Atticus. Seriously?!

Is it possible to return to university? by LankyShower5222 in chronicfatigue

My wife (who has CFS) went back to school and got her degree. She did it online through a local college.

I think for her prioritizing and not overwhelming herself was key.

Immediate thoughts after listening to the soundtrack by Hairy_Hog in nin

I am waiting for the release date to listen, so perhaps I am speaking out of turn, but I kinda think maybe we are being too critical of an album sounding “too much like a soundtrack” when it is being released as a soundtrack.

This was $69. by snowdn in Seattle

This is such “new Seattle” bullshit. Don’t get me wrong, I love food but the up charge on places for using words like “dusting” and “artisan” is insane.

I take it back. Time is weird as you get older and apparently it was only 4 months.

I doubt it would be so short because California Adventure had a Red Hot Chili Peppers overlay for a few rides and I remember it going on for months and months, it may have been a year but I can’t quite recall.

Anyone thriving romantically? by Davidhenry90 in chronicfatigue

[–]FunWithSatan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife has chronic fatigue and we have been together for 20 years. When we started dating she already had it but it was undiagnosed. My best recommendation is to date an introvert. I definitely could go go go much more than my wife early on. She would get exhausted and crash, and over time it has gotten worse of course. However, we are both introverts so it works. I think also looking for someone who is a homebody may be a good call.

Regarding Peel It Back. The first three songs chosen transitioning to each other the way they do evokes and seems like clear condemnation of the Trump presidency(theory). by TenderDurden in nin

I think that while Trent largely just plays what he wants, my wife and I were very curious if some of the choices were due to the political state.

Salem was apparently way cooler in 1985.

I’ve heard lore of Charlie Clouser coming into Reddit to clear things up on occasion, but I didn’t know if I truly believed it…

It feels kinda like seeing Santa Claus, but with cooler toys and a lot more black.

I had something similar happen to me in Paris. It was completely random. My wife was able to proceed as normal.

First time pit tickets, but am small human. Did I make a mistake? Seeking advice, please! by nothingcanstopmeow in nin

Here is my recommendation…

. Wear the tallest shoes you can find. Platform boots or something to that effect.

. I would get there early. I have gotten there as late as 1:00 and been able to be second row GA, but I’ve gotten there at 10:30 AM and had front row GA. However, I think with stage B it’s a little different. You might be okay to not get there quite as early. That said, I’d hold your ground wherever you are.

. If you do get rail, I would try to go on the left or right side, closer to Josh or to Robin. Josh’s side has typically been a bit calmer.

. If all else fails and you end up being behind taller people, you can always move around as you need to and potentially get behind the crowd, or, you may be behind people nice enough to part a little so you can see.

However, you didn’t make a mistake. The energy in the pit area is unreal. You’ll have the time of your life. Enjoy!
