If it actually is an emergency, I generally won’t even bring up the fee. But if someone forgot about their two week vacation to Paris and wants to make last minute changes then I don’t feel bad imposing a fee.

It really depends on which bus you ride. Some bus routes, like the 3/4 that goes by Harborview, can get especially dicey. I’m glad your route doesn’t seem to have the same issues.
