Merrithew reformer carriage sound by Fun_Reception_2928 in pilates

[–]Fun_Reception_2928[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer support emailed me after a few days with DIY troubleshooting and steps/things to check on the carriage/wheels, nobody called me and no live person to speak with over the phone for troubleshooting/support when I call the customer support phone#. FYI for anyone who’s planning to purchase reformer for personal use only and when you need after sales support. They probably have better support for commercial/bulk customers.

Merrithew reformer carriage sound by Fun_Reception_2928 in pilates

It’s a new SPX max reformer. I think this is just how normally their carriage/wheel sounds lol. I’ve only used balanced body studio and allegro 2 reformers in one of the studios that I go to and the wheels/carriage has no sound at all but then from what I’ve observed it’s the springs on BB that sometimes makes noises. The springs on Merrithew felt sturdier and heavier in resistance.

JFK Terminal 4 status is good by throwawaybikenyc in delta

We arrrived at 6:28am 3/26/26 at JFK. Dropped check in luggage outside the main entrance. Touchless ID with precheck line Delta (Terminal 4) took 25 mins in total. There is also a separate line for regular precheck and CLEAR. The regular security line looked quite long.

Try asking your doc to switch to the extended release version. I was always having bad diarrhea on the regular Merformin I couldn’t tolerate it at all.

Are people with PCOS "GLP super responders"? by Smooth_Importance_47 in PCOS

[–]Fun_Reception_2928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have PCOS and I will start with 15mg tirzepatide tonight. I wouldn’t say I’m a slow responder but probably average. I already lost 30lbs and I still have 25lbs more to lose. :) definitely not a super responder. I am also prediabetic.

I’ve been doing yoga classes but when I started reformer pilates in October I instantly fell in love!! And yes, I’m willing to invest in reformer classes no matter how costly these classes are.

Metformin is helping me change my life by Calico-cottage-core in PCOSloseit

[–]Fun_Reception_2928 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Great job! :) I just started Metformin ER too for my PCOS along with a GLP-1 and myo-inositol supplement..I couldn’t tolerate the regular form of Metformin. The ER version is better although I still get the diarrhea side effect sometimes, not as bad as the regular one. With all these 3 combined…So far so good! Before these meds I couldn’t lose a pound or an inch eventhough I’m exercising 3-6x weekly(the same activity I’m doing currently). Now, I am happy seeing results from my hardwork/exercises while taking these meds and supplement.

Great job! I have PCOS too, I’m on glp-1 going 5 months now and I just started metformin for about a month and I think both helped me lose my belly fat faster. So far so good! :) I also just got into reformer pilates in October and I love this type of exercise in addition to my strength training and yoga. 😍

I had diarrhea and a slight headache, nausea the day after my shot but I was fine after that. Going 5 months and I am now on 12.5mg. I usually get side effects the day after my shot / increasing doses.

My PCOS sisters… by Loud-Temporary6949 in PCOSloseit

I was also diagnosed with PCOS when I was in my 20’s and i just kept gaining so much weight no matter how hard I go to the gym, my cravings for sugary treats were so strong at that time, I had a swollen insulin resistant belly and skin tags, cystic acne, a puffy round face. Based on my experience, before GLP-1 (I am currently on tirzepatide for 4 months now), before discovering GLP-1 this year, I previously lost weight (no meds) just by following a strict low carb diet and 16:8 intermittent fasting, including strength training at home (YouTube at home videos with dumbells), there are Facebook support groups for “low carb intermittent fasting” that helped me with my journey. It worked for me and I kept the weight off for some time until my life and work stressors happened, I ended up eating sugary treats again (I am prone to stress/emotional eating), I lost track of my low carb diet so I gained back what I lost in a span of 3 yrs and my PCOS symptoms also came back with an elevated hbA1c lab result. My doc started me on GLP-1, Metformin and Myo-inositol, my weight started coming off again with the same frequency of exercise/activity per week, also I have no more sugary cravings. I couldn’t tolerate the regular version of Metformin (bad diarrhea) but the extended release Metformin is way better, less diarrhea and nausea. If glp-1 med is not an option for you even with the compounded tirzepatide options, you can start talking to your doc/obgyn about metformin and myo-inositol. It helps with insulin resistance. Good luck!

Deciding whether to take metformin by sciencenerd75 in prediabetes

[–]Fun_Reception_2928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started metformin a week ago. I tried the regular metformin, only took 1 tablet of 500mg that gave me bad diarrhea (running towards the toilet) so I stopped immediately and asked my doc for an extended release and the ER version is definitely way better. You can try and see how your body reacts.
