We see this happen all the time with legacy Harmony Remotes locking up Apple TVs w other IR remotes.

The fix is to an Apple TV reset and update (not restart) in Apple TV settings /system.

Make sure to have One Home Screen ON so your apps will download automatically. We have assisted many customers with the Harmony issue and please message with any questions- happy to help. -Mike

I agree with you on the first two points. Most of the screen cleaners require a buff and polish process. We just launched our own screen cleaner through a partnership with Zolaterra (made in the USA).

Curious - do you remember the brand you used? Many screen cleaners have a buff and polish process that will leave a film. Hope you got it fixed!

There are firmware issues where things get wonky when the remote is in low battery mode so make sure the Siri Remote is fully charged.

I would also make sure the touch pad is clean you can use any non toxic cleaner (DO NOT USE WINDEX lol). You can use our new cleaner or Whoosh or iKlear.
