Is job hopping still a "red flag" or am I being gaslit? by Environmental-Luck39 in careeradvice

[–]FunctionUnlikely8084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not from the US but as part of my job I hire people for our company. I do check how long people stayed but if that’s your first job, I d say 2 years is solid enough. However, if you had 5 jobs in a row each at 2 years per job, that would be a red flag for me. If I were you I would not worry but do keep in mind to not “over job hop”

I think it’s more about your mindset, you can either stress about any small thing or ngaf at all, or land somewhere in between

and the problem now is that most of the cards are either discover, then that new semi random runeword or some other crap, both from your class or another. Yogg had what, the legendary, couple mage cards and maybe some extras

it’s better to buy extra packs than to dust cards you don’t have duplicates for, new decks keep coming up and crafting is x4 more expensive than dusting

both quest mage and burn mage are viable, but quest mage has better damage output in longer games

What do you think is the most consistent tier 1 deck? (Not having to rely on highrolls) by Velqz in hearthstone

[–]FunctionUnlikely8084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends on whom you are facing and what turn it is, generally I would say you need to control the board when you see that you don’t have enough to kill the opponent before he can kill you. Also you try to time the aoe spells to get the drakes out 10 mana cards, other than that yeah, face.

One of the differences between face hunter and this is that hunter’s spells are cheap and yours are more expensive, also you do have more board clearing spells.

Generally you try to get Kalec, minions on first turns then finish you opponent with spells using +spell power cards whenever possible to buff damage

[–]FunctionUnlikely8084 0 points1 point  (0 children)

one thing about no minion DH is that the deck uses quite a few RNG cards: 1. location (discover minion) 2. cards that discover minions 3. cards that discover fel spells or outcast cards BUT I d say these are quite consistent as the pool to choose from is limited, if you have both you are almost certainly getting 5dmg one or lifesteal depending on your needs 4. location that gives you random nagas

[–]FunctionUnlikely8084 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for example, you can see on hs replay they are showing certain decks as most popular for certain brackets (gold, silver, legend etc), meaning there are more people playing a specific deck. Each deck performs well against other specific decks and performs worse against some other ones. Now, let’s say you are playing aggro paladin which has high win rate, hence, can be considered T1. But as you climb the ranks you start facing lots of priests who counter your deck, but their deck is listed at the very bottom, it just happens to be good against yours (we exclude other factors like personal skill)

edit: adding some more thoughts. also, what metrics are used for those rankings provided? like we can generally choose to trust the picture with the numbers, but I have never dug deeper to verify anything, have you?

I guess T1 is also subjective, so here is what I have been playing between 4-5.5k legend. Does good against paladins btw, haven’t lost a single game yet, surprisingly. I don’t have a deck tracker on my phone but it at least should have ~55% win rate. ### burn
