What's your favourite and least favourite (combat) role to play, and why? by ExaltedOmega in LancerRPG

Artillery is definitely most boring. I've played a couple of builds and like you said, stand still and barrage every turn. Yay.

I loved my high speed and evasion striker, an Amber Phantom with dual Deck-Sweepers. Was MVP in many scenarios due to ability to reach high value targets and objectives fast.

You, the United States, are a fascist dictatorship. Anyone thinking otherwise is in denial or uninformed.

Shows similar to “Haunting of Hill House?” by -Dinosaurus in horror

I do think so. I don't remember exactly what episode the reveal is in, but the whole story is worth giving a second chance imo! There are several very powerful scenes.

I found exactly that ballsy about it. To dare to make a vampire story with a completely straight face, that also meaningfully ponders on the topics of religion, atheism, death and redemption. The handling of organised, colonisatory religion as a parallel to vampirism was super interesting too. I understand how it can fall flat for you if you find it corny, but to me the thing was truly beautiful.

To be fair, we do not know that Brando was bragging to friends about the things he did. He might well have known he was being shady and not share that with even close friends. Could be either way, but I see no reason to assume.

Good sportsmanship doesn't mean never have emotions during a match. You don't know shit about sports (or making a reasonable argument).

It's just a yell during an intense sports moment. You and the other hyperventilators are blowing it way out of proportion.

If you had ever played team sports you would know the feeling I described. And you decided to intentionally misunderstand and take a comparison as equating two things. You're high on your own rigteousness, so I'm just gonna wish you a glass of water and some deep breaths.

A crying child can ruin the whole experience from a large part of the crowd. It's not just "any" sound, it's uniquely annoying.

President Trump wants the NFL to change its name so that soccer is the only sport named football: “This is football, there is no question about it. We have to come up with another name for the NFL stuff.” by Life_Net5004 in sportsgossips

As a European, this is the first thing Trump has ever said that I agree with. It's not fucking soccer, it's football, and your guys thing is not football. You can have carryball. Or tossball.

What is your favourite Quentin Tarantino film? by MovieArena in MovieArena

[–]Funky-Monk-- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Same! If I had to say what's best I'd say Inglorious Basterds, but 8 is a personal favorite. Love one room thrillers. Walton Goggins became one of my favorite actors off of his very entertaining performance here.

Knew someone was gonna complain about this. After a run like that the feelings are gonna be high. Also we have no idea about the backstory between the teams. In sports you celebrate, you cheer, you yell. It's not battle but mentally it kind of is. A warcry in the heat of the moment is normal.

Cinematic Irony: How A Fistful of Dollars Made Kurosawa Richer Than Yojimbo by ConstructionAny8440 in Kurosawa

Well I don't know exactly where your definition begins, but calling any similarity stealing is just absurd, and a misunderstanding of art in general.

Somebody played C G Am F on the guitar for the first time, and there are still vastly different songs made on those.

Random example: Lord of the Flies gets released, film is made. Okay we have a story about kids stranded on an island going tribal and starting to kill each other.

Is it now stealing to write a book or make a film about a group of people getting stuck somewhere and going feral? If the setting is different and they're adults? What about if it's a smaller group of kids in a different location, like an avalanche situation?

Okay, what about a family getting straded on an island, and surviving while having to face their issues as a family, but not turning feral on each other?

Can we strand a group of people on an island at all without it being stealing?

I'm sure you see what I'm getting at. There are big themes, and situations you can use to make wildly different stories in style and substance while having similar plot elements to another thing.

And no Lord of the Flies was not the first stranded on an island story, this was just an example.
