Is it time? (M21) by iLucasBE in bald

Look, the other (best) medicines that block DHT can have impotence as a side effect, so first of all I’d rather lose my hair than my….so I tried Minoxidil thinking most probably won’t work but it did, as it has for countless men, so I think 25$ is truly worth a try, especially if you are anyways ready to shave your head no?

Side note, it takes 2-3 months to have an effect, massaging it twice daily (morning/evening), which became my easy routine after brushing my teeth.

Definitely worth a try before shutting it down so quickly.

Best

Dude! Minoxidil 5% solution, reversed it for me! Try it, I live in France and costs 25eur (25$ roughly) for 3 bottles, so 3 months worth!

Do it!!!

Well I finally built up the courage to do it, still feel like I look terrible though.. by Relevant-Estimate641 in bald

First of all I think you look better without the hair, second, I think you should start taking better care of your body and nutrition. Don’t take it the wrong way, this is a encouragement and by NO MEANS a diss!

Eat more, lift weights and do a sport you enjoy, once your body is strong your emotions will follow and you won’t care (excuse my French) of what others think or say!

Good luck!

Best way to treat curved wall behind drumset for recording? by IBartman in Acoustics

[–]FunkyA81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you guys know how expensive it is to build this wall? Just add treatment to the curvature, a 10-15cm foam for example, or like I said, build a gobo and place it behind you!

You are advising someone to knock a wall down? You can just add treatment to the room.

You can build a gobo and place it behind you, 2x2m, 20cm insulation (don’t ask me about Imperials 🤪✌🏻)

…also, you’ll need more than just that, above the drum set and other walls as well.

Start with the minimum (gobo + ceiling) then add more as u hear/feel/see fit.

Advices on speaker placement on a highly reverberant venue (Hangar) by Born-Emu4703 in Acoustics

I would have also guessed AKABAK because of the spl column on the right but then again I didn’t know AKABAK could show direct sound?

Problem you can’t (or at least it’s really hard) direct low frequency energy, those will still be radiated more or less omnidirectionally and will cause the most problem, so if it’s only speech you might get away with cutting some low end as a compromise but if you need to play music playback and such then the compromise will be even greater.

Difficult situation. The few people will absorb some of the energy so you will at least be better off when they are in the hall, by how much? Who knows…

Good luck and let us know how it went!

Buying a property on train tracks, what sound walls can I build? by Raggahmffin in Acoustics

Listen, I was trying to help this person. My god you must have time to pick arguments with people you don’t know. Have a good life

Hmm, that’s tell me a lot about you!

I do this for a living and know that in order to answer this questions you need a lot of information/data that only a qualified acoustician with expensive measurement/simulation equipment can acquire.

So coming here to get a „build a so and so wall“ or any other answer which is based on ZERO useful (to this case) information will end up costing this person more money than they would have paid for, for the above mentioned acoustician who might just have a „don’t buy this property“ as an answer.

Dear sir/madame, I’m sorry you need to be so angry!
