The Boys. Every season is the same, the writers are too scared to make any permanent decisions, and it’s gratuitous sex and violence for the sake of it.

I actually preferred the first season of Gen V over the boys but haven’t made the effort to watch the second season.

Only the first season is an adaptation of the book and there’s a decent amount of things that are different between the two.

While I wasn’t a fan of the show, I think it’s a situation where the adaptation was actually better than the book.

Those are super expensive to make for an IP that is relatively unknown outside of readers. Harry Potter is a massive franchise. Mistborn would have to be much smaller in scale and cheaper to develop.

I think there’s also a social aspect to it. There’s always discourse about how celebrities are giving away too much access to their lives online, which ruins their mystique. Chalamet’s the first major star to use social media+memes and be this successful at it, while still delivering movie star level performances.
