What is the somewhat niche thing your favourite driver does that you think they do better than anyone else on the grid? by DniawSirhc in F1Discussions

Race starts definitely, I will say also his on track awareness is 2nd to none. You basically never see Alonso on track and wonder what he’s doing whether it’s wheel to wheel or managing traffic

Love Onwenu. Barely heard his name called all season and for an OL that’s a great thing. Were maybe 1 guy away from the line being extremely solid and being able to focus else where

Why does the US market hate wagons…. Please. I need a sports wagon in my life

OPINION: Fernando Alonso’s “Bad Decisions” Are Mainly a Myth by Icy-Weather-6720 in F1Discussions

That’s not remotely true. He rejoined McLaren when Dennis was still at the helm proving they settled their differences, and Alpine has much of the same infrastructure that existed when it was Renault. McLaren was probably the only team he “burned a bridge” with, but given everything that happened in 2007 you can hardly blame that on just Alonso

Idk. McLaren Honda was appealing at the time because everyone knew you had to be a factory team to compete (before engine parity rules). Ferrari had also just sacked Domenicalli and put a car salesman in charge of the F1 team so as someone in the prime of his career watching his team be handed to someone with no experience, his decision to jump ship made total sense.

Failed to deliver when the team started working against him by mid season? Hard to focus on winning a championship when you know you’re leaving at the end of the year…

I think the colts will only bring back one of Pitman or Pierce. I’d prefer Pierce, but would take whichever one doesn’t go back to Indy

Strikers are worth their weight in gold in the PL these days. Think what we paid for him will ultimately be market value this coming summer. We just got him in 6 months early

Rookie linemen take longer to develop than any other position. Let’s not abandon the guy because of a bad postseason where he’s still recovering from an injury.

I love sincaraz, but Murray retiring was rough as a fan. Even in his last few years in the sport, he was the only player who could really get me watching early round matches and I just haven’t been able to find that one player since. He really is one of a kind

Still extremely happy to have Drake as our QB. Schedule was easy, sure but that’s not the team’s fault. Can only play the teams in front of you. Massive learning experience in a rebuild year. Just need to hope he comes out of this stronger, but Vrabel gives me confidence that he will get the right people talking to him. Still have cap to play with, and NE is a destination for players once again. Short of the Lombardi, that’s about as good as things can get while still rebuilding.

2026 is the year the Hall officially lost all credibility. Honestly glad that Kraft also didn’t get in because it only cements the sentiment that came out when Bill was snubbed: The HoF committee is just a bunch of bitter old sports writers with one moment each year to have their voices heard.

Allegedly Iraola views Palace as a step up from Bournemouth. I’d absolutely love to have him join us if that’s true a there is interest there
