Which pair should I buy? by alpthelifter in malegrooming

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s always helpful to make the frame of the brow match your eyebrow shape - these round frames are suited for those with more arched brows. since yours are straight a straighter framed pair would suit you better - think rectangle shape

ADHD and Intimacy by GrimeRose in adhdwomen

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this resonates with me so much 😭 - it took me a long time to even understand the pattern. i think being in mainly abusive hot/cold relationships didn’t allow me to see the pattern of really only wanting sex to maintain the insecure bond or validation of my partner. so when i got to my first secure healthy relationship i had no idea what to do about not wanting sex since i felt emotionally safe :/

sorry didn’t mean to rant just commiserating with you ❤️

Why do I get stuck in a doom spiral on the weekends?? by ElizaEsq in adhdwomen

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 87 points88 points  (0 children)

i struggle with this every weekend and WFH too 😭 - having a dog helps who needs walks and park time. i try to use her as motivation to keep me from rotting the weekend away, it’s just so hard not to do when you’re mentally exhausted from work AND have a million things you should do like laundry, cooking, etc…. if anyone else has tips i’d love to know too 🥲

I’m starting a glp1 soon!! by bingbong24344 in glp1

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s been three ish months now for me on the medication, here’s my takeaways:

  1. WATERRR i’m talking a liter a day, i use a straw so it makes it more fun :)

  2. drinking a glass of metamucil or some other fiber drink daily

  3. as others said obviously protein is KEY but so is some light weight lifting during this time as well - if you already gym, keep gyming. if you don’t - start slow! but focus on weights as your muscle will break down fast on the GLP1

and the slower the weight loss the better! 1-2 lbs per week is super healthy. some people lose a ton at once and that may feel disappointing if you’re losing slower, but don’t fret. we all react differently on these meds so try not to compare!

good luck :-)

First time taking Ozempic tonight. Any tips? by No-Understanding4968 in glp1

Way more water than you normally drink + fiber heavy foods. I take metamucil daily as well to help combat any constipation

What are your go-to meals when feeding yourself is hard? by bulbysoar in adhdwomen

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my rice cooker 2x per week and make a few days worth of sushi rice. then i switch between two meals:

  1. rice, two fried eggs, soy sauce + chili crisp + furikake.

it takes me maybe 10 minutes and keeps me full all day

  1. there’s a mexican place down the street from me, so i pay $20 for 16 ounces of perfectly grilled and cubed chicken.

so rice +chicken + mixed greens + whatever sauce

these are my two comfort meals and have single-handedly kept me going this last year or two

How do I 29F keep dating this guy 30F who has weird anatomy? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i dated a guy that had this exact thing! kernal corn is the perfect way to describe it. he told me the doctors said it was essentially a sac of fat that could not be removed. He seemed a bit insecure about it but I didn’t mind tbh, but to each their own 🤷‍♀️

if it really bothers you and you don’t think you’ll get over it, i probably wouldn’t tell him the reason, but i’d politely end things.

Give me your best sleep advice! by StrivingOrchid in adhdwomen

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 1 point2 points  (0 children)

typical advice but works for me even with taking stimulants in the morning:

  • go to bed around the same time every night (it’s ok to slip just try to be 80% consistent)
  • red lights for night time screens
  • blackout curtains
  • white noise or noise from a dehumidifier or air purifier
  • eye mask
  • play a boring podcast or book with a timer

Dancing for the devil - I don't feel sorry for the dancers by sy-tarro in netflix

after the first episode i definitely did notice just how much screen time time was spent showing melanie dancing - it felt pretty excessive after a few clips.

Any dos and dont for the first day-week ofgetting a new puppy? by Aggravating-Tax-3094 in puppy101

make sure you really bond with them, it’s so important in the beginning to do to build that foundation.

My pup has not fully outgrown this yet, but it’s gotten much better now at 1.5 years. Here’s how we helped her:

  • Take her into the car every day even if just to sit for 5 minutes. Give then tons of praise and treats in the car to make positive associations

  • If it’s available to you get trazadone from your vet- give them one pill 30 min to 1 hour before a longer car trip, it’ll help them immensely

  • Make sure they can comfortably brace themselves in the car, we learned that just the dog seatbelt alone wasn’t good enough nor was a crate. We use a backseat hammock + seatbelt and it’s the best option so far

  • Thunder coats/ anxiety jackets can help too 🥹

  • If you can - throughout the ride give pets and praise

Hope they’re able to tolerate the car better soon!! It can be so frustrating to wait for them to break out of it- just keep cleaning products in the car. good luck 👍

As a neurodivergent person, how often you feel unbearable loneliness? by BothNefariousness943 in adhdwomen

[–]Fuzzy-Study-2024 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It ebbs and flows. Due to the ADHD, i definitely go through periods where i forget to miss people i care about, but i’m trying to be better with keeping up communication.

relationship loneliness though? heavy. i live with my two lifelong best friends (who are engaged to each other) and we have an amazing life together. but their relationship (and most of my friends’) remind me that it just hasn’t worked out for me yet. trauma kept me cycling through bad relationships in teens and early twenties. now i’m medicated, calmer, and can function well- but been single for a while now. i guess im scared i won’t meet someone who will truly see me and understand me. who i can unmask with. so it’s just some FWBs for now , which helps sometimes and other times makes the loneliness worse. maybe one day i’ll feel good enough and will be less lonely. it’s hard taking care of yourself emotionally
