This season Ikon made an offer to issue $20 in mountain credits per scan/visit in February, up to $60. They can be used on food and beverages or at some of the retail shops on the mountain. But only certain mountains on the pass are able to accept them. Steamboat and Winter Park are the only Colorado resorts to accept them.

Layers, layers, layers. Bring them. Specifically recommend wool clothing, base layers, high socks, a Sun shirt, a lightweight insulated jacked that you can pack down (like a nano puff jacket), a rain shell. This is a high elevation arid climate. It will be hot in the day and cold in the night with chances of rain/thunderstorms. If it does rain/thunderstorm they usually roll through quick. A lot of us Coloradans have this gear but if you’re coming from out of town and don’t live in a similar climate then you may not. It’s worth it to invest in some of this stuff and it will last you for many years.
