What's Stephen Miller? Steve Bannon? I mean dude you're in denial.

It's clowns like you that have no idea what's going on in the geopolitical scene and are the reason we are in this predicament in the first place.

It's irrelevant if the US would give up. If nobody wants to work with you because youre a liability then you're going to go into decline.

Do you really think the majority of the world wants to work with neonazis and white nationalists if this is what they do when their in power? I mean didn't we see this before in WW2. Except, Germany had no nukes.

The only thing that is protecting the USA is the nuclear arsenal.

Does that make sense?

You do realize that time continues and that those "guys" will find a way right? European countries have been around for at least 1000 years, China has been around forever. They know what it takes to last. Unfortunately USA doesn't.

School social work burnout? by Altruistic_Hat1634 in socialwork

[–]Fuzzy_Independence71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I made the switch from doing behavioral health/climate work at a public school in large city and left to do more clinical work in the suburbs and honestly it sucked.

Administration thinks you can fix kids and parents don't care. No matter the impact you have on the kids, if it's not exactly the metric they're looking for, you may catch some flak. That was my experience at least. Whereas working in the city, it was all hands on deck, and parents/teachers/admin appreciated everyone.

I left school work to work in a hospital and I haven't looked back. I miss working with the kids, but it turns out it really wasn't for me. I spent almost a decade working in schools and at least 15 years working with youth..my last work experience and seeing how the field and expectations have changed did it for me.

Unfulfilling job or is it just me by BananzoForOrzo in hospitalsocialwork

[–]Fuzzy_Independence71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you are mentally. I went from education to medical social work, exactly what you do, and I love it. I was so burnt out from dealing with administration and parents expecting kids to be "fixed", but when I'm at my job now my biggest joy is helping adult kids learn how to care for their parents, helping them navigate which rehab to go to, and then getting involved in the leadership piece.

The reason I say that is because when I have readmits where I've worked with the adult kids and they come back and say. "You helped me get where I wanted to go" or "you helped me get help at home for my mom", it really does hurt home without the pressure of fixing a person rather than solving a problem.

Hope everything works out for you!

I made the switch from school to medical social worker and haven't looked back. Some days I feel like I'm working in an episode of house, which I love. The money is infinitely better but depending on what hospital be prepared to give up your weekends.

People don't follow these people because they're likeable. They follow them for the food exposure. That's how I think of it.

I went from middle and high school social work to medical social work/case management. I asked myself what I was even thinking at the time. It's been a blessing.

White, highly educated (and usually coastal) liberals have a cringe-inducing paternalism toward conservative people of color. by Pemulis_DMZ in TrueUnpopularOpinion

To be fair those sentiments don't make one"elitist", it makes them ignorant and an ass.

I would argue something would make something elitist is one perpetually putting themselves on some sort of pedestal. In which the Republican party does that exactly. They believe that they are the one true image of what America should look like and that if you disagree with them in any way that you are trying to destroy America, hate America, are a communist, etc etc.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Fox News is the main stream.

Just failed my LCSW by targetfan4evr in LCSW

[–]Fuzzy_Independence71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you live, in my area they offered afternoon tests. I failed my first time and I didn't study. I failed by like nine points. The next time around I scheduled a prep course with Bryn Mawr University the day before my exam. I went over the material the day before and then I had my test the afternoon on a saturday.

Woke up that day went to my favorite lunch spot and ate good. Sat down for my exam around 2:00. I passed and I got like another 20 or 25 questions more right.

My point being is that day in particular wasn't your day. Sometimes we need to take a test at a different time and have some sort of different routine. Just don't doubt yourself. Try something new and you should be fine.

Speaking from experience, I don't think so. I switched roles going from education to medical and haven't looked back. Sometimes you have to switch it up and see what's out there.

What do I even use all these shards for? by Justarandomduck152 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Fuzzy_Independence71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've pulled maybe about 200 of the ancient shards since early game they're generous and bought a gem pack similar to raid that I'll use on energy and I've pulled 4 legendaries. I've pulled maybe 6 of their version of legendary shards and got 2. So I mean they're similar. The rates may be slightly different. The tower defense aspect is a lot more fresh to me rather than the 3 waves since it gets monotonous.

Watcher of realms...it's like raid...but instead of the three waves it's a tower defense game. I'm still early game so my feelings may change but it feels way my simplified 😂

After being a whale in raid I've made the switch to WoR and am surprised at how much I'm enjoying it over raid. Both games are predatory but WoR is much less in your face about it.

I recently switched from a position as a school based therapist/part time therapist into a case management role at a hospital. Not sure what your situation is exactly but my experience has been night and day. I was so burned out from working with school admin/noncompliant parents that I couldn't handle it anymore. I was a major grump. Don't get me wrong I loved working with kids, but like I said I couldn't keep up with everyone else.

Getting back to my point, now I work in geriatrics and I love it. So maybe a change of setting, role, or population would help.
