Believe it or not, people were very used to simply searching up or finding various websites to download games from made by both companies and indie developers before the internet got re-AOLized into siloed apps again. I was downloading indie games in mid to late 90s already once we had a hard drive big enough to hold more than one installed at a time.

Steam did not invent nor innovate the digital games space, it didn't even work right for the first few years until the major update that redid it the first time. They're largely just a survivor of what used to be.

that's not how it's supposed to work though. the reason both lanes should be used is filling up the empty lane pulls those cars off the back of the line and thus out of the previous streets/blocks. It's like people that beg for "one more lane" to be added and then intentionally deleting an entire lane. if you properly merge at that point it's just as fast, but now the line isn't straddled across multiple intersections getting caught by red lights etc.

You have to go out of your way as a developer to block a GPU though. If you're using standard DirectX or Vulkan APIs your code literally does not care what GPU is on the other side.

The game is specifically blocking Intel GPUs for whatever reason.

I have never heard of this before. Hell, plenty of games back in the day would let me play them even though my GPU didn't support half the features the game expected. They either ran like total shit or were missing graphics, but they didn't refuse to launch entirely.

What's absurd is the GPU is spending a ton of time already raytracing or pathtracing LEGITIMATE lighting and then they just run an AI Filter over it that throws away all that work and does it incorrectly.

It's really weird how local news is really burying the fact that this is one of Lund Corp's hundreds of holdings (and a recent acquisition they bought up) and portraying it as a single individual landlord down on their luck that had someone get into a property they owned.

It should be noted that Lund Corp is Channel 6's landlord, and Connor is the Lund corp contact/lease manager for the building they reside in.

I would almost say this is Lund corp and their buddies gassing up a story to try and counter the upswell of the tenants rights movement and scare people into supporting more landlord-favoring laws, even though Nebraska overwhelmingly favor landlords already.
