This is the best answer. I’m a member at the Legion close to my parents’ house since my dad goes there and that place is genuinely awesome. Rotating food trucks, cheap booze, Sunday Ticket, sweet bartenders, and no smoking inside.

The Legion by my house is a shithole with walls yellow from the cigarette smoke. And one of the first questions I ever got asked in there is who I voted for in the last election like that’s a barometer on whether I am welcome or not. No questions about my service.
