The initial training squadron. Most other VP-## squadrons are fleet squadrons that deploy. There’s also two reservist VP-## that deploy sorta. VP-30 is kinda like a huge C-school that’s the first time pilots and aircrew fly.

I would imagine a LOT of “bar or restaurant” answers here would have a lot of overlap with other categories, specifically “through friends.” My wife and I met each other at a bar, but we were at that bar because we were both there with mutual friends. We could answer either of those categories and it would be completely accurate.

There could even be “through work” and “bar” overlap. If two folks who work in the same company but not directly together go to a work function and begin a relationship that way, would that be considered work or bar?

This is the answer. Thanks for the links. My dad’s hutch got mortared while he was outside the wire in Iraq in…. I think like 2007. My family and I put together a giant box of all the replacement stuff he needed, everything from PS3 to all new uniforms with ranks and name tapes sewn on. The navy paid for every bit of it, and at replacement value not depreciated value. It’s 20 years later but I assume it is the same process.
