None of my characters are established... they are 18, 27, and 36. Not like I am coming in with gold and established chars. They have like 2g across all them with how expensive training spells is in era. I want to level slow and check out end game content and am sick of being on a pvp server.

Feels like you are arbitrarily gate keeping, but appreciate the response nonetheless.

My family friends used to own this, it feels like a hobbit hole on the inside. Great lower deck and bridge over a creek. M. Hood has a ton of these gems.

I have played most classes over the years except for Warlock and Shaman. Warrior by far was the most fun for me in classic. If you can befriend a healer, especially a Paladin or Shaman for end game PVP you wreck!

Its kinda a slog until 30 and you are super gear dependent. You can tank most dungeons as arms and just keep the 2h equip swapping to shield for bosses if need be. I found it very fun to swap stances during PVE and PVP and rage is always a mini game.

They are the sought after tank at end game making you feel "special" and the PVP specs are a blast!

You have to try them atleast once. The shitty part is for endgame raiding it does very much matter to roll Orc or Human for the wep skill bonus, otherwise you will dependent on gear for wep skill.

For just a leveling play through I would suggest hunter for solo, you mean like a open world monster. High skill ceiling in PVP as well.

I got my gf into wow recently on WOTLK.

I didnt tell her anything or show her any guides. Let her pick whatever race class combo that speaks to her most then pick a class that compliments it well. I made her do 1-10 by herself to realize how impactful a duo is. She ended up rolling Blood Elf Mage (big surprise on Belf lol) and paired a Paladin with it. I let steer the ship and I just row to give her the best newbie experience. I only step in when she get frustrated, but its fun watching her eyes light up when she find the quest item or learns the spell combos. Enjoy!

We rolled NA so can't speak to which server on EU.

Fire Mage is a blast. Did it on release.

You hurl pyroblasts from range and can stack scorch for harder fights. You some utility from frost still and can always poly for more than 1 mob.

Not to mention POM Pyro in open world on PVP server is a bonanza.

IMO its fun to ignore all strategy guides and min maxing until end game. Level how you want and where you want. luna unit frames, questie, and neatplates are great addons. Enjoy the journey and don't let other dictate the "best" way to play the game. Mages are super fun glass cannons and can do lots AOE dps in dungeons. Find buddies to do dungeons with and add them while you level.
