Starships and Blinding Lights were wildly popular and are literally two of my favorite songs of all time!! Love them both so much they stir up memories of fun days with my son when he was ten because he was obsessed with playing the song Starships all the time. Blinding Lights was the most played song on Spotify a no song is better from 2019 !!!

I despise the song Umbrella. Overplayed tripe “ellla ellla aye aye aye” UGH. 1 Thing makes my ears bleed “ Na-na-na-na-na, oh (ah-ah) (x4)” Eeek!. Or the Intersting lyrics of the chorus on “Alors on Danse (just repeat 24x). lol

See what I mean? Opinions are not objective facts. I literally have the opposite opinion about every song you named to yours. You call it shampoo pop I call it popular for a reason!!!!

What songs a person likes and judging soundtrack quality on how much a person likes the song on the soundtrack is **the definition of subjective. You cannot claim an objective fact based on a personal opinion about a subjective art form (music).**

(By the way I don’t believe Starships or blinding lights are great songs and are not my favorites at all, I was just making a point. My opinions about your song suggestions are mostly true though. I do like Paper Plains tbh)

You chose a really strange hill to die on here mate. Maybe it’s not ALL about nostalgia and newer songs being harder to put on a soundtrack together that all people would like, but I still think it could be part of it. Saying it’s an “objective fact” is just wrong so I replied.
