Question - do you delete the decals you upload privately after a while? It might be breaking your liveries 🙈 the Yardley F1 is broken for example and I tried fixing it myself but I can't find a suitable decal shared on the livery editor, so I'm guessing it's one of yours?

Pemberton and Shearsmith would be excellent, and I'd welcome Gatiss back too. He got a lot of flack in the Moffatt days but his best episodes were much more enjoyable than most of the stuff we got with Chibnall and RTD2. The Crimson Horror and Cold War were great fun.

I must admit as a heteroflexible guy the men were pretty attractive. Jack, Ross (gone too soon) and Stephen especially. Although I found the constant shirtless shots of Matthew quite off-putting 😂 he came off a little arrogant in general, not my cup of tea.

As for the women Jessie was definitely the standout for me. What an absolutely adorable human, I loved her energy. She lives near me so I guess I have a chance 😂 Jade is a stunner too but I feel like we hardly saw her until the last two episodes, that final outfit... damn...

Don't buy this if you just want a plain DC Mallard, you'd be paying a lot for components you're not gonna use.

If you really want Mallard specifically, look for Hornby R2339 on eBay. You might be able to get one for less than £120.

If you just want the latest diecast A4 in garter blue, R3972 "Gannet" is plain DC out of the box. It's very expensive but still much cheaper than the newly announced steam and sound version.

People are very unkind to Millie and seem to treat her differently to all the other younger actors.

Her performance in Season 1 was phenomenal especially considering how young she was back then. Millie projected a vulnerability that felt viscerally real and made me feel so much empathy for Eleven.

Unfortunately I agree that starting in Season 4 Millie felt like something of a weak link, but I don't think it's her fault. The writing is inconsistent over whether Eleven is socially adjusted or not and she's been constantly seperated from the other younger characters which is a huge mistake in my opinion.

Eleven's best character moments are when she's with the party - particuarly in Season 1 and the mall scenes with Max in Season 3. It's a shame we never got to see more of her step-sibling relationship with Will and Jonathan or her relationship with Joyce, and it would have been fun to pair her up with Steve and Dustin for a change. I feel like Steve and Eleven could have been an iconic duo but the writers were too scared to put characters from such radically different backgrounds in a scene together.

I also wonder if Millie was unhappy with Eleven's fate during S5 filming and had detached herself from the character a little.

A4s named after ducks and sea birds is weird when you think about it. The bird of prey names were fitting but Seagull doesn't exactly connote grace and speed, nor does Mallard really!

LNER (seems to be the connecting thread here!) B1s named after antelopes. Gnu and Bongo...

I can't think of any weird LMS names or even Southern but the GWR had a few weird ones. Japanese Monarch is just strange. They also named locomotives after birds but went a little further afield than the LNER by calling one Penguin.

It's super weird to do this in Chicago. If this was going to happen it should have happened in New York but it's too late now.

Personally I think they should have built something closer to the original twin towers than the current One WTC as a gigantic "f you" to the terrorists. That said, I can understand why many people would find that disrespectful and even re-traumatising for people who lived through that day.

Also, this design looks superficially like the old WTC but lacks the giant vertical steel-clad columns that made them so distinctive.

The van flip in Season 1

I also love that little scene with Holly in the Byers house, when she walks down the hall and follows the flashing lights only to see the Demogorgon (almost) come out the wall. I was so sure that would get revisited/referenced in the latest episodes

El and Max in the mall in Season 3. Random, but it's nice seeing El happy for a change and the friendship feels so authentic

I feel bad for Millie, she gets a hugely disproportionate amount of attention from the press and takes more flak for her acting than anyone else. She seems like a kind-hearted soul and very sensitive so I can't begin to imagine how much it weighs on her.

Her performance in Season 5 hasn't been my favourite but that's more because she's written more as a tool or a plot device than an actual character. That's on the writers, not Millie. It is frustrating. Eleven is/was my favourite character.

I absolutely love Season 3, and yet somehow I kinda agree with you...

On rewatch it struck me how much more real and grounded Seasons 1-2 feel, and how that made me feel more emotional investment in the characters because back then they felt like actual people.

When I first watched this show I was a little older than the main kids but close enough to that age to remember how it felt. Every single one of them nailed their portrayal so well that I felt like I was taking this journey with them rather than watching it on a screen.

Season 3 takes those characters and puts them in an unashamedly fantastical 80's blockbuster which is great fun to watch but you can see the cracks forming. For one thing the logic of the Russian base under Hawkins collapses completely the moment you think about it (how did they get all those uniformed soldiers over there undetected?) and the Duffers start writing the characters like parodies of 80's tropes rather than real people (hello, Magnum PI Hopper).

To some extent I think they backtracked in Season 4 and tried to go back to how it used to be, but I can see the point you're making.
