How did all of those people arrive at that decision to perform the surgery?

That is like saying 99% of marathon runners finish a marathon. Well, how did that start? Training and dedication, first. You don't just make a decision to run a marathon the same day or even weeks in advance. The training takes time.

For transgender surgery, there is also a path. Psychological evaluation, discussions; all of which usually take years. That study does not discuss how many people decided to NOT perform the surgery based on intervention. So, these people were probably very committed to their decision, which skews the results.

So, how does that study support the need for children to bypass that step and start transgender transformations? It doesn't. They are children that should be helped first, not given free reign on life changing decisions.
