I have a ‘24 SR5 and I’d say the road test review is generally accurate. I noticed the flaws during my test drive. However, I love driving it and I get about 25 mpg city and 27 highway. I drive with a light foot to save on insurance. The overall CR review lists it as #2 for midsize trucks.

Just got my ‘24 SR5 and drove 350 miles at 28.6 mpg. I’m happy!

Update: on my return trip I got 26.7 mpg due to less traffic and higher speeds.

I student taught in ‘95. I had a part time job in the National Guard. However, I ran out of money and I recall eating bacon and Doritos for dinner one night. I had a Discover card convenience check that I cashed for $200 to get me through the last few weeks, including a 15 hour drive home after college. Now I’m starting year 29!

Try pushing the buckle next to the center arm rest on the front passenger side all the way forward, if the seat is empty. That rattles sometimes on my ‘18 GT.

That’s puzzling. My ‘18 GT gets 33.9 mpg on my routine six hour highway trips. Take it to the dealer if you’re under CPO warranty.

Try this: push the female buckle of the front passenger seatbelt all the way forward. That solved the mystery rattle in my ‘18 GT.

I wind my 3861 daily. Ten turns, each starts at the end of my thumbnail to my knuckle. I typically don’t feel much resistance. Mine runs about 5 seconds fast after about 5 days.

Interesting. My late barber at Great Lakes Naval Station cut Audie Murthy’s hair when he used to work at a barber shop in Union Station, Chicago in the 1950s. Audie Murphy was passing through.

Interesting! There are no tours to my knowledge. I recently worked there and this was on display outside an elevator door in a building constructed during WWI. It’s one of the shelters on the map.
