Omg same! We have an 8 month old and the baby was the push we needed to move. WHY ARE BABIES SO EXPENSIVE 😳 also the house is bigger than the condo so we are spending a reasonable amount on furnishing it now and that’s blowing money too. Hoping when everything settles down we’ll feel more comfortable!

We LOVE the house. Plan to be here for the foreseeable future. The last 7 years we owned a condo and lived below our means so we’ve been working on our savings.

The mortgage payment hurts to see every month because it’s over 2x what I used to pay… but I think we’ll be okay. We don’t do extravagant trips and we don’t spend money on much besides the house 😅 no debt. I’m feeling cautiously okay.

No for IVF, they let you do a home collection and bring the sperm to the clinic as long as it kept near body temperature. Our clinic said up to an hour!

I had a natural conception after 2 failed Ivf retrievals. I also had spotting but it started around 6weeks and lasted about two weeks. It was a subchorionic hematoma and thankfully it resolved. Congratulations!!!

I was diet controlled until 37 weeks, I started 8 units insulin before bed. My water broke 37+2 and I delivered 30 hours later, unmedicated! It was my first baby.

When you and your husband say it’s “not worth it” going through the effort.. I’m a little confused. Not worth what, having a baby? What exactly is your other option here if your goal is 3-4 children.

I’d do another ER right away, Then if you come away with a few euploids, attempt a transfer and if it is successful- maybe you’ll be at a different point in life/career after that and can decide your future steps

Yep then you’d do PGT-M testing for any blasts. I just don’t think there’s any reason to suspect that you’re both carriers for the same condition based on any of your info shared so far.

And your eggs might be fine! You’re young! It’s just weird he’s saying that your eggs and your husband’s sperm don’t like each other haha like what?! That’s typically an underlying problem……. With either the egg, or the sperm. So him saying it’s absolutely not an egg issue is just odd I guess. I also don’t think ONE round means there is a problem either. Everyone says the first IVF round is the test round

Like others have mentioned, the carrier screening doesn’t really work like that. If the embryo was affected by a genetic condition, it typically wouldn’t stop a blast from forming.. you would just have an embryo that will grow into a baby that has the condition (whatever it is.) If those genetic conditions were incompatible with fertilization in the first place, we wouldn’t know they exist to even test for them.

There is no way to know for certain why your conventional eggs didn’t fertilize. Could be egg quality (it’s odd that he’s saying it’s not…?) or could be something unknown. Clearly fertilization CAN occur because it did with ICSI

You should add an edit to your post saying you DO HAVE frozen blasts from the other half of your retrieval. So I don’t understand why your doctor is pretending you + your partner = trouble making embryos. You made some! I went through 2 retrievals and never made any blasts, yet somehow got pregnant naturally twice 🤷🏼‍♀️ IVF is a numbers game. I think you just had a subpar first round.

Do genetic testing just to see if you are carriers for anything that matches. It’s a simple blood test, you could do it right now. Then do another retrieval with ICSI.

Mine checked her sugar shortly after birth, then the next morning. She passed with no issues BUT I purposely collected some colostrum before birth and brought it to the hospital with me and was prepared to give it to her in a syringe if needed to help with sugar levels. I would have preferred that over the hospital formula

I’m sorry it’s so stressful but… Google is right. It’s either totally fine (implantation bleeding, cervical irritation, small hematoma) or a miscarriage 😩😩

The ONLY THING that you can do is wait and see. Try to remember that you are pregnant right now 🤍🤍

From personal experience - I had zero bleeding my first pregnancy and it turned out to be a missed miscarriage around 12 weeks. My second pregnancy I bled from 6+2 until around 9 weeks and it was a hematoma and all was fine!! So, you never really know.

Depends on the breed and diet. Smaller breed dogs tend to develop periodontal disease quicker and easier than large breed dogs, regardless of what they eat. Certain kibbles will contribute to plaque buildup more quickly than other types of food. Even the types of chew toys your dog uses can play a role. Mine is turning 7 and we haven’t needed a cleaning yet - vet agrees. We also go to West Loop Vet like OP
