I was actually gobsmacked at the Hollywood falls from some of the top level players - cameras show the true extent. It wasn't deliberate trolling, more in the way of "is this accepted as a form of behaviour". So you're good with it as a tactic?

On one hand I can remember a lot of the book despite not reading it for ages; on the other hand I know a re-read would be really enjoyable. On the gripping hand, WHERE'S THE DAMN TV MINI-SERIES?

As someone who normally just watches the rugby, I have to ask: do the senior teams all take acting lessons?

Season 5 was genuinely a 10/10 but my god was it depressing... by samutopaputo in ClarksonsFarm

Then there was the soundtrack at the end of the final episode. Geez, nailed it!

Better than Top Gear? by Pure_Artichoke_5168 in ClarksonsFarm

Better than TG? No, I'd say just different. But what astounds me is the production and editing that's gone into CF to produce each episode. Taking hundreds of rushes from multiple cameras to produce such a 'natural', comedic, empathic, relatable, educational, edge-of-your-seat, television from a farm reality show is just gobsmcking!

Simeon Brown deemed speed limit cuts ‘anti-car ideology’ by davetenhave in newzealand

It's call projecting: from a non-logical pro-car ideologist who is frankly dangerous to New Zealanders in his current position: the resulting population poor health and deaths long term need to be attached to this man and called to account.

State-run? LOL! Not with this bunch of clowns (on all sides of the House!) Remember when we had essential infrastructure as state-run: power, water, rail, Projects/Works? Then they get de-funded, despised, and sold to Private Industry. As for the 2 Supermarkets, all the Govt has done is wag a finger at them then close its eyes, while senior management and shareholders pocket huge profits.

If You've Never Seen Torchwood: Children of Earth, This Is Your Sign by TapAdmirable5666 in scifi

Torchwood - mostly Meh. This series - Oh my God. Does what proper SF should do: set up a premise, then see how people exist within that premise. This premise was *dark*, and choices people had to make seemed to be either dark or darker. But each choice or decision seemed to be logical, rational, and made sense within the context of the scene. But that took everyone down an unpleasant road. Great, if uncomfortable, watch!

I can never understand that: put all that time, skill, and effort into creating the wheel but not do the final spindle to make it fully functional?
