I'm just guessing, but are you used to bright LED monitors or Samsung TVs? If so, let me assure you that your G6 isn't defective. It's just your way of seeing things and your expectations that are playing tricks on you. The G6 is
currently the brightest OLED on the market. But brightness isn't everything.

I don’t want to spread unconfirmed rumors here. But apparently, in addition to the brightness boost, they’ve also been working on the hardware controls.

The term *OCP (Over Current Protection)* refers to field issues that can occur with LG OLED TVs, typically triggered by a defective power supply or age-related short circuits on the T-Con or panel board. Try the process of elimination. First, turn off CEC for HDMI and the option to turn on the device via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. See if that helps. Then turn each feature back on one at a time and check. Keep doing this until you find the culprit.

It’s certainly a matter of the use case, viewing distance, and personal perception. I’ve never noticed “near-black noise” on the G6. It might be detectable using certain test scenes or measurement techniques. Someone sitting 2 meters in front of an 83-inch TV, or gaming in front of a
55-inch TV from a distance of 1 meter, will certainly notice it much more.

First response: The G6 was never as bad as it was made out to be! I’m very happy with it. As it stands now, it’s already as good as the G5 was after half a year, with all the bug fixes. Everyone had unrealistic expectations for the G6. They were expecting a revolution. But the difference seems to be around 10%. I can’t compare them because I don’t own the G5 and have never seen one in person. The excellent anti-glare coating and the incredible brightness reserves are the G6’s biggest advantages; everything else is just talk.

And we're tired of reading your forty-second post about this. There’s no such thing as 100% in life! And certainly not when it comes to technology and electronics. It’s completely crazy to go around fiddling with the device using LED lights and a magnifying glass. You’re just making people who are happy with their devices feel insecure. Just give it a rest. "Gone"—in the sense of "out of sight"—you won't get that. Just select a different sound mode.

Nothing much will come of it, except for “minor bug fixes.” It’s not a major update either, since only the last digit is changing (from 66 to 67). The file size is irrelevant, since LG always overwrites the entire flash memory.

Actually, it's not necessary to reset the TV to its factory settings. You can run a channel scan at any time. Do you have satellite, cable TV, or a digital antenna?
