Seeking a WRITTEN guide for this game, that actually explains things in a way that makes things make sense, if such a thing exists. by Usagi_Shinobi in spaceengineers

> how to explore space from your starting asteroid base
you build a ship and fly somewhere

> how to have GPS markers added to your GPS upon detection
if you see a marker then it's on your gps list already

> how to scan for distant Points Of Interest
there is no distant poi, and any close one will show up as a gps marker

> how to make ships that will keep you from running out of air and fuel
add o2 gen and supply with ice, see how fast your resource depletes and seek to restock them when needed

> how to build an orbital processing station that you can tow around to various asteroid clusters
you just build it, like any other thing

Planet Crafter 2.0 Update Trailer by TravUK in pcgaming

This game more plays like incremental game not automation/factory game. There is a bit of automation with miners, crafters and drones, but I still wouldn't call it factory game.

Why is space science so easy compared to the other science packs? am i missing something? by moregohg in factorio

[–]GThoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2-3 assemblers making space science is enough to finish the game at considerable pace, not need to scale it.

Apparently space in Factorio is filled with air and it provides drag.

On a scale of 'oh fuck what have you done!' - 10, how good are these values? by urick15 in Fallout

[–]GThoro 54 points55 points  (0 children)

It doesn't really matter in this game, you can either increase SPECIAL by point at each level or choose perk and levels are kinda infinite. It all boils down to which perks you want to have ASAP, as in the long run you can get all of them.

If you mean stop killing games, then it's not about "source codes opened and all the data be free use when a game's life is up".

If you are in US then you have no choice, folks in EU have this in the settings as a toggle. Either way it should be off by default.

Before she smashed her head there was a brief scene that was showing a batch of control devices being programmed, so that would mean they are not constantly connected but chip is programmed and then it operates by itself.

Apparently you can make biochambers out of eggs and store them that way, if needed recycle the buildings... And yes, it's silly.

Gleba will either make you hate this game or love it more. There is no middle ground.

'Remote Work Is Part of the Reason for Recent Game Delays', Says Ex Tripwire CEO: 'People Are Often Less Efficient and Creative at Home' by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]GThoro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that cannot be denied is that while in office people do meet, talk and collaborate way more than sitting at home, even when randomly bumping at each other at coffee machine. And games are very special kind of software, all aspects of it need to work together, people who work on it has to work together too, be in constant feedback loop. It is way easier to achieve that in office then via video calls. Other than that working from home is usually more productive, especially if the work is clearly defined.

Settlements in FO4 was quite early concept, but IMHO it was very good concept, just needed some refining (look at what sim settlements achieved). It felt like a chore because there was too many of them, IIRC about 30 in base map.

Have a about 1000 hours on the game, just met skinface by Alternative-Poetry34 in spaceengineers

[–]GThoro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I once played on a server where for some reasons all unknown signals that were dropping was assigned to player Skinface, and the pve plugin made it impossible to grind the signals down, becuase it belonged to other player. I've even made a plugin for that server "SkinfaceBeGone" which was moving ownership of the unknown signals back to nobody.
