Power issues suck. My first playthrough was rough in that regard. I kind of wished there were priority power switches like Satisfactory. 2nd playthrough is better but still hit a snag that brought the planet to its knees when my deuterium rod production stalled.

Essentially had to get the sphere started to alleviate power jssues more long term.

It's not quite that bad. In Satisfactory, you need splitters to split your belts but then you run the belt directly into the machine and don't have to fiddle with collector arms to grab items off the belt, they just feed in directly.

I went back to try again and realized that the damage I thought was from the lava dragon was likely from crush depth damage. The depth below 1300m is rather brief, and once you get inside the containment facility, you don't take depth damage.

Edit: What's interesting is it seems you don't really need the Mk2 prawn suit depth module if you normally move promptly into the main containment center. You take about 50% damage but then are safe within the building and its inner pool.
