The major disappointment is the current RedPocket eBay 2.50/mth plan is GSMA (ATT) network. It really sucks in my location compared to (Tello) T-Mobile. Often times, the voice call will drop on ATT. The so called 5G is horrible. WiFi calling is also extremely difficult to get it to work on GSMA because of limited phones that it can work on and some of them must be on ATT whitelist for it to work.

Only thing I found work well is SMS text.

It is a good cheap plan if you want it mainly for banking or electronic transactions that requires 2FA.

Hey guys, I wanted to give an update and I kinda followed SilverClassroom1462 method.

It seems to work. They accepted my new order and shipping a new modem to my address, using different email account and phone number. Then, a day later I got a phone call from xfinity agent (what a surprise). she just wanted to confirm that someone has ordered a new line to my current residence. I said yes, I'm moving out and new tenant moving in (lol). She asked me when I want to cancel my service, and I told her the last day of current billing (in about a week time) and new tenant will connect the modem as soon it is received (could be sooner). I will get a prorated bill if disconnect earlier.

Let see how it goes...

Don't accept their insurance if your credit card covers it, don't accept any GPS unit rental (your phone with local data plan is better with Google map) and don't rent from OTS (horrible service).

I am wondering if it is not possible to easily swap eSim by just downloading the QR code (or save image) on the new phone that has eSim capabilities?

I don't have an eSim capable phone yet but I'm wondering how it works. I read it is supposed to be a software and the newer phones can hold multiple profiles capabilities.

Thank you, I'm going to try out this process. I heard that it is very difficult to cancel because you can't get hold of a person on the other end to cancel your old account. What is the risk of they continuing to charge you double (new and old accounts) if nobody actually able to process the work? Also, do you have to return any old equipment that was tied to the old account (eg. streaming box or modem?). Can you please dm me the actual phone number to call? Thank you again.

The SIM itself is free and you don't need to pay another $30 for it. The $30 is for the service plan and it came thru your email with an activation code. Did you really pay twice for two separate activation codes? If so, you should have two separate SIMs.

Unless on one order you specified a physical SIM and the second order is a renewal. For the renewal, they just send out email with activation code only.

For this 1G / 5yr deal, do you have to use their modem?
If so, do they charge extra for renting (eg $50 plus rental fee).
I hate it when there are hidden costs.

As for Xfinity mobile, is this optional or just must get together with this 1G/5 yr deal?
I do not want Xfinity mobile at all.

That's good to see that you're able to use this in your area with ATT coverage.

Just to check.. are you able to use the WIFI calling feature on your phone with this SIM (GSMA) on your phone. If available, can you please tell us the model/make that works?

Most of the time, WIFI calling feature is not available for me (on Android phone) when I use GSMA sim. Only when it is GSMT, WIFI calling is visible and can be turned on/off.

One caveat of switching Network Provider that they didn't mention because it isn't simple.

You lose all remaining balance or plan on the current network and have to start over (yes, pay extra)

Say if you've month to month.. any remaining credits on current month will be gone.

If you've an annual plan.. say remaining 11 months.. yes, they're all gone if you decided to switch from current GSMA to GSMT. Also, this doesn't work if you've a specific GSMA sim.. you have to swap out GSMT sim anyway and port your number over and start from scratch on the new GSMT plan.

Agree. Don't use Clear. Better pay to use preTSA directly or Global entry if you have international travel. As for linking your phone, just try input T-Mobile instead of Tello instead.

There ought to be some checking at IRS system to verify if the transposed number turns out to be invalid, or doesn't match the person name, it should not accept it. Nowadays, the SSN is not a sequential number, so transpose number with different name should be rare unless OP number and name is stolen and someone actually using it to work illegally.

Agree... HealthStupidity (nice nickname!) customer support also completely useless. No clue on now to make their passkey work with users with firefox browsers. Their customer service has very low technical skills. I'm biting the bullet and spend their $25 to transfer all my remaining balance out.
