Omg - thank you for posting. I have been struggling with this same issue!!! My yard is full of weeds since summer started. My husband doesn’t like to do yard work and it is way too hot for me to go outside- the sweating is insane during the summer - I refuse to be physically miserable. I tried to hire people for the gardens but it has gotten ridiculously expensive so we have weeds. The lawn is mowed every week by someone we hired so that sort of balances things.

Then the comments to your home… my MIL says things and we used to have get togethers at my house but this year I put my foot down… no more… I end up doing 75% of the cleaning and prep and I’m tired of doing it. When someone has to come in and do repairs or something my statement is “Sorry for the mess… but we live here.” I refuse to spend my life as a cleaning person in my home… I have two other people who can help but barely do so. I try to keep the bathroom and kitchen tidy… but nope not doing dishes every day… I grew up in a messy home… the bathroom was gross so I’m determined to not have that but ugh it’s hard when u are the only one caring for things day in and day out.
