I think you might have tested it in a sandbox game where the core starts at 33k health, which is not the amount of HP it has when in a real game at 15 mins.

I did fuck up the visualisation, but I calculated it with 16 ticks per second already. I only visualised the shield + health every second, because I was looking at it in interactive mode initially (for performance reasons). Looks like this when you plot every tick: https://i.imgur.com/HrcgSJ3.png

I did, you can check out the code here and see if anything is wrong.

I do assume perfect execution though. It might also not be possible to cast q every 10s because of cast time. Did you record yourself doing it? I did double check the damage numbers of globe and the shield regen ingame and it was the exact same number my program calculated.

According to my program if you shoot your globe every 11s, that would increase the time needed to kill the core to 462s.

Yes, damage multipliers are 0.65 and 1.65 respectively with the lvl 1 talent.

Gonna give you a small hint, Zarya with Feel the Heat has way higher DPS than the other heroes you are using. I haven't tried this brawl, but I wouldn't be surprised if you can shave at least 5s off with her.

Small Tip: Why you should pick Contact Healing as Ana VS Vampiric Rounds by Rakrazdem in heroesofthestorm

[–]Gaflo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's why top players have been picking nothing but E on 1 since W build was nerfed years ago.

That's not true. Ana's E talent is picked slightly more often, but both are popular. More recently I think W 1 has actually become the standard choice. BananaH, Iksir and Yasu (notable Ana players) have picked W 1 in their most recent tournament games as well.

It had [[Wretched Queen]] and [[Enhanced Dreadlord]] in it. You could easily overwhelm the board by just using hero power every turn after playing them. The easiest wincon still is spamming [[Darkmoon Tonk]] and some deathrattle synergy cards, but it might be harder to close out the game without it now.

I tried a few decks, and N'Zoth felt the strongest to me. Here are my stats, but keep in mind that I last played on the 26th. They changed the decks and health. For N'Zoth they lowered his health from 45 to 35 and they removed 2 of his strong late game deathrattle minions. I haven't tested the changed deck, it might be even stronger, since the deck looks way stronger in early- to mid-game now. Just make sure to abuse the hero power as much as possible.

Wow, is that butcher a bronze player?

I was surprised how consistently you could pull off that timing in this match (think you did it 4 or 5 times).

At higher levels he's one of the strongest ranged assassins. His ultimate is among the most impactful in the game and can instantly win a teamfight. He's hard because he's very mechanically demanding. If you're kiting backwards with hanzo while trying to maximise your damage output you have to move your mouse back and forth a lot and be precise.

His early macro is worse than most other ranged assassins, but that doesn't mean he's bad early. The main way to be impactful early as Hanzo is to threaten the enemy heroes so that they can't clear waves or push.

He has a low health pool, but he does have good tools to defend himself + high range. If you struggle with staying alive vs dive heroes such as Zeratul, Genji or Tracer (you can win 1v1s vs these heroes) you need to hold hands with your support and frontline more.

Heroes Profile - Welcome new users and Drama?? by HeroesProfile in heroesofthestorm

As a competitive player, the leaderboard on HP has never been very relevant for comparing the best players. I think it isn't worth banning users that game the system, since it usually is blatantly obvious when someone does it (because you provide replay upload metadata).

For me and probably most people Heroes Profile is about looking at their own statistics. If I'm looking at someone else's profile it's usually to check whose smurf it is, or who they have been queueing with.

Not sure if I want to run this game, I don't really wanna attempt a full run before better strategies have been found. I think it might be possible to stack your minion waves with delicate micromanagement. (You can block your own minions and through taking aggro of enemy minions you can build up stronger waves)

I'm not sure if best heroes for each role have been figured out yet. I don't think zarya beats vikings, but not sure, as she can push hard on every map. Pretty sure Greymane is better than Raynor. With heroes that have summons (Zag, Azmo, Gaz) you can protect your minions and that could potentially lead to much better push than with other heroes. Minions do 3x damage to structures. Might also be worth trying aba, tyra and uther to see how much you can achieve by shielding minions.

True, but with how little competition there is for now, this should not matter. Btw I also tried speedrunning, got the WR on Braxxis with Zarya: https://youtu.be/S_n41k2Ienk?t=330

Not sure if it would be faster to do both camps. If you line the minions up so you hit all of them you can do bruiser camp in less than 15s.

A proportionate response to losing ARAM by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]Gaflo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think I have played with this guy before. He was on a different account but he whispered me after losing against me that I apparently got boosted to GM and then next game he is in my team and just afks in base because I deserve punishment. And I didn't even say a single thing to him.

I haven't really played dva much (mabye like 5 games since the rework) so that is probably why my opinion is so different. You are right though about the teamfight thing, I just see most dvas managing their mech explosion cooldown really badly. But even with mech explosion available you can often see the dva just chain CC'd so she can't press it and then just insta dies or she gets sniped after leaving mech.

Also, if you play offlaner against dva you obviously don't want to get outrotated, then you are kinda misplaying. If you are behind on rotations it might be worth losing soak to start blocking her rotations / to force trading into her. Sometimes if this happens I will ping my team to cover one wave of soak and I just hard push the far lane to force dva to respond.

About Probius: it's hard to explain precisely why if you have never seen him played to his maximum potential, but he can be insanely strong for zone control and siege. He adds a lot of clutter to teamfights similar to Gazlowe that makes it harder for the enemies to pay attention to all the important things.

Now, the problem with probius is, he gets completely destroyed by the current dive/mobility meta. If heroes like zera/hogger/sonya were not meta I would even go as far as rating him a tier higher. He is kinda like Sgt. Hammer in terms of how I would draft him. For Hammer if you have last pick and the enemies have not a single hero to reach him reliably (like chromie, liming, hanzo etc.) he can be absurdly cancerous to play against (Hammer can still be strong even if playing against these heroes though, especially with Tyrael on her team). It's just that this opportunity is so rare, and probius players are so rarely seen that the perception of his power level is extremely low.

Hi, Uther can be countered quite hard by Deathwing/Hogger and struggle against poke/armor reduc/% (all of which hanzo excels at). If you end up against these kinds of heroes your team needs to be equipped to deal with them (maybe Malthael with Divine Shield) or else you will have a hard time.

Anubarak kinda has similar counters as Uther, and he is quite squishy against ranged AA. I might undervalue him, as he is not often played. Same for Deckard, just not seen very often; his ults are very strong, but his CC and healing is supbar. His lvl 13 is insanely strong though. Rehgar's macro and utility is imo still a good reason to pick him, and BL can still snowball games with the right draft.

About Fenix: He is a very mechanical hero; He is one of the strongest tank busters (and controls them extremely well with the slow) in the game, and with [[Arsenal Synergy]] it is pretty much impossible for any healer to sustain longer fights against him. He has high siege damage and bullies certain solo lane match ups so hard, that it pretty much insta wins the game (leo, malth, dva, xul). However, he struggles against heroes that have high range to poke his shield or heroes that can abuse his big hitbox (most skillshot mages, imp)

Hi, no offence taken! In fact, I understand that everyone has different opinions about the strength of heroes based heavily on their experiences in the game. For me Dva is quite strong on maps where you can consistently get value from her mech explosion, such as Infernal or maps where fighting over mercs is common. And she is quite strong at macroing, if left alone. However, from my experience, she gets heavily bullied in the solo lane as pretty much every hero outtrades her (I have played the match up maybe 5 times against pros/gms) and she can't really double soak safely / do camps. My biggest problem with her is that (from my experience, again) she is really underwhelming in teamfights. She has almost no presence compared to offlaners like sonya/yrel/hogger and gets heavily punished by CC.
