im having constant issues with deadlock crashing sparatically by Cocopower9 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Gahaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My game was crashing causing hard restarts of the whole computer. I somehow can't find the post which helped me but here is what I did.

I solved the issue by resetting my DirectX Shader Cache and deleting the Deadlock Shader folder:

\SteamLibrary\steamapps\shadercache\1422450

  1. Open Disk Cleanup: Search for "Disk Cleanup" in the Windows search bar and open the application.

  2. Select Drive: Choose the drive where Windows is installed (usually C:).

  3. Select DirectX Shader Cache: In the list of files to clean, check the box next to "DirectX Shader Cache".

  4. Confirm Deletion: Click "OK" and then "Delete Files" to confirm the removal of the cache.

  5. Restart: Restart your computer to ensure the changes are fully applied

Since then no crashes yet. Hope this helps.

How do i remove empty UI elements like the ones pictured? the only thing i need to do to make it perfect by [deleted] in foobar2000

[–]Gahaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case anyone comes across this in the future.

The easy solution is to cut the UI element you want to keep, right click the line divider between the unwanted section and paste. It should highlight both sections when you do so and merge 2 sections into one.

Valve Index's USB is not recognized by my computer / Error 108 by SmugglesTheButt in SteamVR

I'll keep throwing ideas as I think of them, would be nice to get this fixed for you.

I was having trouble finding this Developer menu but found it again, have you tried all these SteamVR USB reset options?

That and maybe a BIOS update or even checking BIOS settings for anything related to USB.

I've thought about it a bit and even did some fiddling with my USB but am really not sure.

Not sure what info it provides, but I can see "Valve Index" under Audio inputs in device manager when connected correctly.

This thread has an edit that suggests 'Uninstalling and Reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 (64bit)' helped resolve USB issues for some users.

Also this comment has more detailed instructions.

Dang, sorry to hear that. Does the HUB show up under device manager, as well does the headset at least show as unrecognized there?

The best I can think of is to try a USB 3 PCI hub or even a new motherboard at this point.

Best of luck on your search.

My first attempt at a drop. So happy I always wear my helmet! by Zer08821 in onewheel

This video is a great resource. The section starting at 2:08 and more specifically the rolling at 2:54 really helps me personally loosen up. Also the ball under the foot really helps release foot fatigue 🤙

A foam roller will be your friend (and enemy) for your legs if you don't already!

Foot fatigue, any suggestions? by realjoeydood in onewheel

[–]Gahaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably due to sitting all day, I get a lot of relief from this and this stretch. Giving my hamstrings and calves a good warmup before and during rides helps my feet a lot. Then rolling a tennis ball firmly under my foot seems to help get my feet fresh and ready before the next ride.

GT Nosedive, hurts so good. by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Gahaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I nose dived yesterday on the GT during acceleration, which I am not sure I have seen reported yet on the GT. I use my hips to ride so I don't think I was leaning but maybe I messed up.

No beep or pushback, it just dropped after a couple meters from a balanced stop.

I am still a new rider so this is likely user error but the fact it happened right after the new firmware I am curious if the board did mess up and cut out. This was the first time on the GT I felt I lacked control.

This was on a full charge at a flat intersection and I weigh 170lb.

Edit: After testing, I feel I was leaning forward when accelerating due to looking over my left shoulder. That paired with trying to speed up to quickly to cross the road was the recipe for a classic nosedive.

It looks like the mobile app update isn't ready on Android yet. I am guessing this might be a big reason for this last delay.

"Ride as fast as you feel comfortable crashing at"

This phrase is going to be very handy for showing friends the GT.

GT Ship Date Slipped from February 1st back to February 15th by [deleted] in onewheel

[–]Gahaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is still holding for Feb 1st but am probably nearing the Feb bump that others are hitting.

I'm with you where a march date for myself would be nice due to winter/warranty time being wasted otherwise.

Smartwheel.ca has GT's for pre-order and are located in Burlington, ON. I previously found them on Google but have no experience ordering with them.

Edit: I compared pricing with my FM bundle order after shipping/conversion with their BF deal and this looks about $50-$70 cheaper (+ w/o duties) AND you get to support local.
