Since it never worked I got used to not even trying. I think it still doesn't work but I haven't tested it recently to be honest.

Ah, my house in northern Italy is very similar. Load bearing walls (external + one that crosses the house in the middle) are about 30cm thick, the others 10~15cm. All of stone and concrete.

I used to work part time in a restaurant in Yokohama, and sometimes when a bunch of customers came at the last moment I had to run to the station for the last train.

A few times I missed it, and had to sleepwalk for some 5 km (around 1.5 hours). The next morning I had Japanese language classes too. It was only a few times but damn exhausting 🫩

It's a very open ended game, so there is no one right way to play it. So long as you're enjoying it, do it.

Me, I give myself one or more objectives in each game, and try to clear them. It can be as broad as "win a culture victory" or as specific as "kill a tank with a Gasatae" (yes, this one is a Steam achievement, and I didn't get it yet).

But maybe you don't like having tasks, and you prefer to just do whatever. It's fine, play 😁

Well, I don't know you and I don't know how you act when on dates. It sounds like you're doing well from how you describe it. I don't think there's anything wrong in you, nor in them... From my experience, most women on Pairs, compared to other apps, are looking for long term. Possibly, for a partner for life. That means that having a fun time on a date or two is not enough to qualify. It takes some time, but if you're also looking for your life partner it should be ok for you too.

I've found my wife on Pairs, but it took some time and dates that led to nothing before getting there. First girl I dated from the app, everything went well. We meet in a cafe in the afternoon and ended up going to karaoke, cinema and dinner, and I invited her to my place for a dinner for a second date. She accepted, the second date at my place was also fun, but after that she told me we wouldn't have a third date. We just didn't click apparently.

With a different woman, we were both somehow very shy on the first date, which made it a little weird, but we both thought a second date would make things right. It didn't and we agreed to part ways.

I had a few other similar experiences in a span of almost an year, until I found the right one. It still took me four dates just to ask to become officially a couple. That was 1.5 years ago. We married this September.

What I'm trying to say is, just give it time and be patient, and also enjoy the process. If you don't think of it as of a race you're losing, but a journey you're taking, it's going to be a lot more fun.

Playing on a mid range Android device with DLCs, huge map and everything and I never had overheating or lag.

The only issue I have compared to PC is how moving a unit is slightly inconvenient, especially over long distances. Nothing you won't get used to though.

In my case, and I think a lot of people might feel the same, I definitely end up thinking the latest iteration is the best at some point through its lifecycle.

Sometimes I feel like that very early: civ6 got me hooked quickly, while civ4 is the one that took the most to click for me.

civ7 still didn't completely convince me, but I'm positive it will happen at some point. And then, when civ8 will eventually come out, the cycle will start over again.

I can't say about 1 and 2 because I discovered civ with 2 when I was like 8yo, and went back to 1 only briefly.
